well we are getting a house and they said it would be 900 to 1000 feet how much is that?? is that pretty small for a house?

That's fairly small. If the place has three bedrooms, expect them to be in the 12'x10' size range, with a smaller kitchen and living room.

1000ft refers to square feet a house that is50 x 20 on the outside is1000 feet
