I have heard that the Tennessee law just allows 2 or a total of $ 500. I have several more than that. Wouldn't that be against the law on their part. They didn't look me up when I took them out.

1. I bought items (my solo LLC business did actually) to lease to a another business
2. I went into debt to buy these
3. The business never paid me rent
4. The business still has the items; they never went officially out of business but they are not doing business
5. I had to pay for these items and they are all paid off in 2006 after paying on them for about 2 years
6. I use cash accounting
7. My business went out of business in 2006
8. I consider the debt uncollectibel and cannot recover the property which is in the former lessee business owner's possession. I do not know where they are.

Can I file a business loss for my (late filing under an extension) business? I know this is cash method BUT I had these items essentially taken from me without payment and I'm out a bundle/

When I rent an apartment, what things have to be considered? I'm new to this and I was thinking about sharing an apartment with a friend.

Now, I'm not a permanent resident, but on a Student VISA. Do I need to establish a credit score, before renting an apartment becomes possible? Can someone with my status rent an apartment at all? Is there any additional paperwork when 2 people rent an apartment? What expenses am I expected to pay (apart from rent. like property tax, etc.).

What is a good price for a 2 bedroom apartment in a small city (<100,000)? Will I pay a flat rate for electricity and water? Do I pay rent in advance? If I haven't a established a credit history, yet, is it possible to pay 2-4 months in advance and then be accepted?

I guess most of these answers vary...

Etc., etc.

I am a single parent. Both kids have moved out for the time being. I have some credit card debt that I am quickly reducing to zero. Probably will have it all paid off next spring.
I own my home. My car is paid off in 9 months.

We came into some financial trouble this year when I lost my job so my boyfriend filed "exempt" on his taxes so that we could pay our bills--because they were taking out SO much money. Now it's 4 months later...and I'm worried that he will owe. How do I find out if we are going to owe money, and how do I calculate how MUCH we will owe? I have been getting emails telling about land in costa rica that is for sale. the company that solicits investor is also the builders and developers. they say after they take the investmen tmoney and build 3 to 5 bedroom brick homes the value of the land will sky rocket in only a few years. they claim to be building on ocean front land within the city limits. has anyone else received these emails? it sounds like a good investment.
