After Blue Chip graduate management training I can tell you with upmost confidence... The biggest management skill is being able to look incredibly busy all the time.

This way you feel to guilty to even ask for help. The classic if someone asks for help is to say.. Would you like me to give it (xxxxx) to do picking someone they are in obvious competition with.

Manage your manager... Learn to look busy let them give the hard stuff to others and pick the easy stuff up ;)

Many employees think they work harder than their bosses; however, the type of work is different and often you don't know all that is involved with your boss' job. Give your boss the benefit of the doubt.
