dollars will be spent at Wallmart, Health programs will be expanding, Older drivers will still be on the highways. Each year will add many more to the retirement roles and it will last about ten years...my guess. What can you see happening to the stock market and the realestate market?

I've seen all the crap on TV... insurance companies claiming you can save hundreds of $$$ if you switch to them... I currently have my full coverage policy through State Farm. Can I REALLY save money by switching to someone else?? ANY ideas/advice/suggestions?

I've been married for two and half years and everything we have is in my husband's name. He won't let me get a job, even leave the house. I'm ready to leave, and so far all I have is $70 that I had hidden from him in a crockpot. I know the first thing I need to do is get that money into a bank account, but the problem is savings accounts usually require a $100 minimum balance. But I know I need to start drawing insurance on that somehow. So far what I have planned to do is put all that money into a checking account, then transfer it to an ING Orange account with a 4.5% interest rate. Does this sound like a smart thing to do, or is this a waste of time and stuff.

I'm not stupid, I know by the end of the year I'll have collected like $2 from interest or whatever, but even that is better (and safer) than it sitting in a crock pot in the top of my son's closet. (And if you have any legit ways to make money from home,t

I am currently going to college to earn a degree in pyschology. after my BS eventually I would naturally go on to get my masters and PhD, that's the goal and that's the plan. but by that time I achieve that goal. (believe me I will). I would be probably at the age of 27 and I would like to start my family then.

The problem.... If I am to have a doctorate or even masters right out of graduate school, how can i start my family? I would not want to wait until after Im 30. but I would like to jump start my career as well, I do realize that it would take me a while to establish myself among those in the same profession.

I would like suggestions on career paths that I can research in my line of study that would permit me to have a family.

and I would like some first or second accounts of women who have "done it all"

Thanks

I wouldn't mind accounts from men but men don't carry babies for 9 months and go thru all the things career women do.

I would like to consolidate my debt ($20,000), which is mostly credit card debt, by taking a line of credit with Bank of America? From the explanation I received from this bank, it sounds like it is another credit card. I have thought about taking an unsecured simple intertest loan at 13%, but the line of credit APR is 8.9%, which is really enticing. I would take either loan for 5 years with fixed monthly payments.

Which of the two approaches (loan or line of credit) would YOU take to save the most money, and why, for paying off high interest credit card debt?

Has anyone one ran into this situation before? How did you resolve it?

I can certainly use the extra money to buy my son clothes and school supplies.

Thank you.

I just started with a large retailer a couple months ago as a management trainee. I have over two years of retail experience before this.

Yet, the vibe I am getting from my manager is that I don't seem happy. I will say I do not have much of a relationship with the store manager and the rest of management as well. I take no breaks and work my butt off, which is what I thought the company wanted, but appearently not as I am having trouble with the political aspects of my job. My store manager did say that I am ok.

Or maybe I am no longer meant to work in retail and need to eventually look for another job. The comapny often transfers people so there is a chance I won't be at the store I am at much longer.

Problem is, it is out ofm y area of specialty. (I am a therapist). I completed a master's degree to specialize in clinical services, yet my company doesn't have anything available except this administrative position.
Then last week, before my promotion negotiations were completed, I was offered an interview with a new organization that would pay a tad bit more than the new salary and would allow me to do the work I studied 6 years for. I took the interview and it went great, and expect a job offer this week. My question is, how would I then go back and tell my company that not only do I not want the promotion but I am leaving? I feel loyalty to my current company and the job is GREAT, but it's not really what I want to do.
One last thing is a lot of people assisted in me getting this offer, and I don't have the heart to disappoint them. I'm torn on this, so any suggestions are welcomed.

I am mostly curious about the payout of the loan itself. I think I understand the rest. After you are approved, etc for the mortgage, where does that money go? What type of account is it wired to, my checking/savings? Do I have access to it? Can I withdraw it? How do I send the money to the seller I'm buying the homes from?

She also made a similar error on my brother's girlfriend. What can I do now? Is there a way to avoid paying this huge amount due to an error I did not make?
