Sometimes i thought the same whenever i went to my geometry class 1st thing in the morning a few years ago.....it's like they're trying to keep that stuff a secret!! 1st period is far too early for learning math.....it's probably true with work also!

If you don't think you can function efficiently at 6AM, then it doesn't matter, that job is not for you.
However, in answer to your question, depending on the job, there are several reasons.
--to prepare something for customers such as food service,
--to get in a later second shift such as manufacturing,
--some congested cities require employers to stagger work hours to help ease commuter traffic,
--some utilities ask large employers to stagger shifts to spread out power usage.
Hope you find something you are willing to commit to doing.

lots of people are awake that early, resturaunts are open that early for a reason, people are awake and getting their day started. Not everyone can be a Yahoo Answers slacker like you and me
