What do you do when you like your job and a new boss comes along and makes your job miserable.?

Humans are not really that evolved. Your boss is the new person in the territory and has to establish himself as the alpha animal.

So he pushes people around, acts like a complete ******.

Just do the job, do your best and things should settle down in a little while.

Or start looking for new work.

If you like your job, continue to do it to the best of your ability. Is your boss an overbearing, hypercritical jerk who constantly criticizes your work? Again, continue to do your job to the best of your ability. People like your new boss you have with you always, like bad weather. One thing you have to remember is that in any work environment, everyone has a supervisor. As long as your work is appreciated and is not bringing down criticism from your boss's superiors, then you are doing your job well. If he is the only one dissatisfied with your work, then you have nothing to worry about. Be professional and don't let his attitude toward you keep you from enjoying your job. His day is coming. My dad had an expression for it-he said "Illegitimus non carborundum." He loosely translated it to "Don't let the bastards grind you down." Good words to live by. Best of luck in your situation.

This is what happens when you're working for other people and become comfortable at a company and it's part of the risk you accept.

It could be a clue that it's time to start your own businsss. I think that far too many people become too comfortable in their job positions.
