In 2005, I received a distribution from an IRA. The IRA was my mother's and she died in 2005. The money was somewhere between 16 and 17,000. I did not file a 2005 tax return. I want to do so asap and am curious as to whether or not I should expect any kind of a refund from this money??? Thanks very much!

Hi! Alright so am a college student and I was thinking of starting my own house cleaning business. I do have experience and great references since I've done it before at the time, I didn't think of making it a regular thing. Problem is, I would only be able to do it on weekends. Do you think I could still have a sizeable clientele with those days only? I was thinking maybe doing 2 or 3 houses per weekend and for right now, it'll just be me.Is this realistic? I have done alot of nanny jobs and although I liked them, I feel like cleaning is much more fulfulling to me. Do you think what am aiming for is attainable?Honest advice please. Thanks! :)

i totally forgot to pay my rent yesterday so the office is closed today, tomorrow, and for labor day, so my only options is to wait until tuesday which will be the 5th or to take it today and leave it in the door slot, but i'm kind of afraid to leave it and then they say they haven't gotten it.(i always pay with an money order) which would be the better options for me to do?

What can I or we do to fix this. We pay taxes to give Politicians large raises and to send Money to other countries that don't give a damn about us.

I know someone close to me that cuts lawns for a living. One of his customers doesn't necessarily pay on time and they have lots of money. They have a hummer and just recently bought a corvette for a family member. Thing is the last time she paid, she paid by check and memoed it for June/July. She didn't pay for August. She has also sent my friend letters saying that she would like to have her yard cut every two weeks for $25 a cut. His other yards are $130-$230 a month. She was getting away with paying $90 a month and now wants $50 a month. He never agreed to the $50 a month and now she constantly calls him saying that he doesn't return her calls and that she should be paid up til mid October with the last check she sent for $140 which is memoed June/july. Before that she paid in may for $90. He doesn't want to call her until he gets the copies of her checks from his dad. She even chased him around the yard trying to talk to him last week. Is this grounds for harassment?

I graduated a year ago with a degree in biology (b.s.). I have been trying to find a job ever since. I live in cleveland, oh and the problem I keep running into is that every job is a sales job. I AM NOT A SALESPERSON!!! I am very smart and a job that does not utilize this will be short lived. I need something that allows me to make decisions and does not involve selling. Going back to school is not an option as I need money and WILL NOT move home to live with my parents. So unless it is something that allows me to go to school part time while working full time, it is not an option. I am very open minded, all I really need is decent pay, bennefits, and the ability to think for myself so I dont get bored and quit.

I broke lease since iw as getting married and was moving in to his apt. They said they'd send a check w/deposit if any was left. They then just now sent a bill for over 1600. They charged 1000 for the carpet which had dmg but it was damaged when I moved in (not as bad but still they would have had to replace) among other things. Can they even do that? I paid 700 when i broke lease and 350 sec deposit. I live in Fla if it makes a difference.
