tell them you are sick, BUT--be sure you are because if they catch you in a lie, you could get fired. If you need to get off early for an emergency, immediately tell your boss and offer to make up the time. This often goes a long way toward helping you be a better employee because your boss appreciates that emergencies happen and offering to make up the time shows you are not only a good employee but will help you make up the loss of income for when you do need to leave early.

if you mean every day ask if you can change your hours and come in early and leave early == if you mean only one time just request from you manager permission to leave early for what ever the reason -- tell the truth -- a lie always seem to get back to me when i was a manager!!!! heck i have used the excuse i just needed to leave and go walk in the green grass at the park!!!

Tell your boss you have an urgent matter to attend to, and request the time off. That's one way.

1)Finish your work early
2)Tell your boss some story like your not feeling well
and 3) I don't know there arn't many good ways to leave work because all that adds up to is more work
