A friend and I have both recently lost a parent. Reunions near the end were very special and meaningful, but hard to pull off.

My friend is an RN and I was a counselor (before kids) and she and I were talking about a business that would not only arrange these reunions or other special trips/events, but could help with talking about death and understanding doctor's visits, etc.

I've been searching for such businesses to get ideas about drawing up a business plan and marketing and am finding nothing. Am I searching the wrong way, or is this truly a new idea?

Is it a good idea?

Today in the mail I received a letter from a local mortgage company addressed to two people's names I've never heard of, but the address was mine exactly... I started thinking that someone might have tried to use my info or something so I called the mortgage company... they told me they bought a list of names and addresses of people who have recently applied for a mortgage... so why is this person' s name with MY address? Is this a simple mistake or might it be some sort of identity theft?

I am one of those home owners being hit with an ARM! My ARM term changed this summer and my payment increased about $350 more monthly. I was thinking of a refi to lock my interest (probably will end up paying about the same monthly amount as I am now) but would get cash out to pay off my credit card and my husband's car (taking care of those two monthly payments) and leaving enough for a rainy day or month! On the other hand my friend told me that because of the mortgage crisis, many banks are letting borrowers get into another program. She told me to call my bank and tell them I can't make those high payments and they would probably rather give me the original payment (or close to it), change my loan terms without any refi closing cost associated with this and prevent foreclosure, but won't have any cash out options to eliminate the two debts I need to take care of. Status quo is not an option because I can see myself losing the house in a year or so if I don't eliminate some debt.

My boyfriend job is not reliable, so I am trying to save enough to cover both of our bills for 6 weeks. I put aside money every pay check, but I feel so far behind. I have a decent credit rating and it would be great if it wasn't for my income to debt ratio, although I have never been late on any payments (c.c., water bill, rent, car payment, etc). My income is in the 20s. Also, I can almost guarantee that I can pay the bank back in a week ( I can even write them the check for the loan amount the same day if they promise to not cash it for 7 days). Anybody out there who works for a bank think I stand a chance

I interviewed with a major e commerce company coming in to help establish and run their new photography studio. The company builds websites for major retailors, offeres fullfillment and now decided to offer photography as another service. My interview was a four hour process, done by the new vp of ecommerce. The entire hiring procedure took about a month.
This company also called me to interview for this position. Once everthing was a go, they gave me a two week start date.
They also sent me a contract to sign, which I faxed in two days before my start date. I however was in constant contact with them because they would call and ask my opinions on procedures with different clients. The 1st week of my employment my vp and I set down and I forecast the business on a spread sheet showing them 3 to 4 different options on spending and revenue going forward. We turned this info into the powers that be. Three days later my boss was fired, 2 weeks me. 1 wk after, the company sold for 91.mil

i can't open a checking account so i'm stuck cashing all of my checks at check cashers location and they charge too much. i can't pay my bills easily so i have to make money orders to mail in and that takes longer than just sending in a check or having the payment withdrawn from my checking account. i can't wait 5 years. that's too long. is anyone else in the same boat and if so how did u deal with it?
