i can't open a checking account so i'm stuck cashing all of my checks at check cashers location and they charge too much. i can't pay my bills easily so i have to make money orders to mail in and that takes longer than just sending in a check or having the payment withdrawn from my checking account. i can't wait 5 years. that's too long. is anyone else in the same boat and if so how did u deal with it?

Take care of the problem at the bank that is reporting you and all will go away. Simple as that

You don't have to wait 5 years. If you've been reported to chexsystems, all you have to do is pay the bank that you owe money to. They will then fax some paper work to chexsystems to let them know the debt has been paid and you'll be able to open up another checking account at a different bank.

Open a savings account that lets you use a debit card. Deposit your checks, or at least most of them, and pay with the card. You can withdraw cash at any time, also.

What bills are you paying that don't have locations you can go to directly to pay? I'm used to being able to pay utilities and some other things at a variety of stores in the area.

You are paying the price for not paying attention earlier. At least, I hope it was not deliberate.
