We have a company in California and one of our employee works for us in new mexico and he wants us to pay his taxes in that state. What forms we need, how many tax we need to pay (ex. state, fed,....) and how can we do that?

I was sharing a flat with an Australian. We were due to leave this flat (tenancy ended) on 2nd September. I went on holiday from 3rd August for 3 weeks. When I got back, there's a note saying that she's gone!! I'll still be in London in a different flat, my question is, there is a Sky bill under her name. There's still 9 months to go in the contract.

I'm scared to call up Sky. Are they going to tell me that I'm liable for her account? It's under her name, I never wanted it, and she had agreed when she set it up that she was cool paying the whole bill.

My husband when his mother was alive got a credit card taken out, and it had her name as the primary and his name as the secondary. Everything he put onto it, he paid back but when she passed away, his father was suppose to pay the bill. We went to get a loan for a house, and his credit score had dropped 100 points because his father went three months without paying. When he called the company, the lady told him it had been turned over to collections. She told him to write a letter of appeal and they would try to handle the matter. What all should he include in this letter of appeal? Has anyone fixed a problem this way or are they just pulling his chain. Because of this whole situation, we were forced to get a five year loan at most at 200,000, but in five years his credit score will still be low because it takes seven years from the date in which the debt was settled to raise again. Should we focus on paying other debts we have like our credit card, will that raise our score?

I'm 19 and recently started a new part-time job while I'm at university. I'm doing a tourism course and my aim is to move to Massachusetts in 2010 after finishing my degree. I know there is a lot of security measures after 9/11 but I'm wondering how easy would it be for someone of my age, in 2010 I'll be 21/22, to purchase in America. My Credit isnt great. FICO of 599... Anyway, I just got some new credit cards, Like a mastercard, target card, orchard bank, and Macy's. I have charged on almost all of them to have them start reporting to the credit bureau's.

My question is do I have to carry a balance each month over to get my score up? Do I have to use them every month??

I already paid all of them off except 100 on my target because I havent recieved my order yet. I got all of them with in the last month and a half. I know my score will go down a little from opening all at once, but Was told it would go right back up....

My mom signed my debit card up for PayPal back in Dec last year. She used her e-bay account and won me a car. I didn't do any of the work as far as the signing up goes and I haven't read any of the e-mails they sent me. So I don't know what I'm doing.

The problem is this. I was thinking about looking for some toys on e-bay for my son. I don't know how to do make a payment through PayPal though and I know most use this. How do I set up and e-bay account and how do I use PayPal to pay for my purchases? I'm sure it's probably self explanatory, but I don't need to mess up my bank account!

I did an interview last Thursday and had to sign papers to get a criminal background check done (I already know this will be clean anyway so no worries there). Someone I know had their interview the same day as me and already got their call yesterday to come in for another interview this Thursday. I called this morning and they are still waiting on my background check and one of my references.
I already know they haven't phoned my second reference, I don't know why not...my reference told me this morning that she'd tell me if/when they'd phone and they haven't yet.

What factors make a background check slower than another if they're handed in the same day (we both had our interviews Thursday afternoon)?

Last year the IRS filed a $1,0000.00 tax lien against me and reported it on my credit. I finally got them paid off a few months ago and they have released the lien. On my credit, it now shows as a relased tax lien.

I have heard that sometimes, if you dispute some negative information on your credit report, a lot of times the reporting agency/company does not respond and it gets removed from your credit bureau file.

My question is: What would happen if I disputed the tax lien on my credit report. Considering the IRS has been paid and they have released the lien, what would they do?

Is there any hope of success in having it removed from my credit files, also would I be breaking any laws?

Please help!

One other thing, this released tax lien is the only negative mark on my credit.

I live on a dirt road that is going to be paved. We have lived here for 21 years. The county need to take 8000 square feet from 1 acer of land and another 5000 from two additional acres. I need to know what the fair market value is. Can anyone help. Also do they have to dig up and replant my friut trees that run along the edge of my land?

I am trying to get out my lease for financial reasons I sent two letters to my landlord and she never replied. I called last night and left a messege. My lease states that I have to request in writing if I want to terminate my lease. I am guessing she is ignoring me. However I have to move or I'll be paying rent late for the next 4 months. I have 6 months left on my lease

I was wondering if she'll report this on my credit report. If so is it the standard report like Transunion, Experian

My boyfriend works like a fool. He has very good credit. He decided to get a credit card with a $2000 spending limit on it in his name and put his 25 yr old married child with 2 children on it as a cardholder. He said he was going to help her establish her credit. She ran up the card in no time and did not pay for it and did not tell him. I knew something was up when she needed to borrow money in less than a year after he gave her the card. He loaned her $800 saying he was helping his grandchildren by loaning her money for plane tickets.
In less than a year a credit agency came after him. He is angry at the credit card and blaming everyone but his daughter. He says she is just having a hard time financially because she has 2 kids. Her husband works full time and has a very good job. What would you say to your adult child if she was doing this. How can he teach her responsiblity?

I have a 30yr fixed 4.93% interest on my 140k home, I currently owe 130k. My monthly mortgage is $1.116. If I refinance, according to several sources, I can lower my monthly bill to the 700-800 range. How is this possible if I would be refinancing at a higher interest rate, around 6%? With my fixed low rate, is there any reason besides a catastrophic event to refinance?

They say its a dividend check for a policy. Why did they send me this money. Is this a scam or should I just put it into savings somewhere...maybe an I bond or something?
I just cannot figure out why State farm is sending their customers money, first a free pizza and now a check.

Her name is not on the house. I know this because recently the county audited everyones property taxes and it came out in the paper and her name is not on the property tax.
I am sure she has bad credit. Do you think its in his name only because they would not have been able to secure a home loan with her name because of her bad credit? Do most married couples have both names on all lines of credit and properties?
He also has a checking account without her name on it. Actually he has about everything without her name on any of it. What do you think he is up to?

my closing is supposed to be in 2 weeks. according to the loan officer it was denied because i paid my rent late 5 times in 4 yrs. my credit score is not that great but i make over 90,000. told on monday sky engineer will fix on wed between 8-1. ring sky when he hasnt arrived and im told oh been time change but nobody bothered to tell me! he then says oh the engineer only has to phone once before 9am yes you guessed nobody from sky or any part of sky rang me. the only time they ring is when they want to sell me something. ive lost a days earnings and nobody cares because their big fish!!! these 'big fish' obviously don't have to worry about putting food on table for their kids. hacked off someone help!!!
