Not you problem. Contact Sky and explain that the person who had the contract has moved without giving a forwarding address and you think they should be aware of the situation. Remember that if they ask you, you had nothing to do with the Sky contract as you couldn't afford it.

I don't know what a sky bill is....but any bills that are entirely in one persons name....it goes to them...i would not worry about it. Unless there is an agreement by the company that you allowed a person to open an account IF your apartment was only in your name......then, they will bug you. If the account was only in her name and you shared the apartment, each being in the contract, or she just rented from you....she is responsible. I know how you feel.....i am being done the same way but the person STILL lives with me until i leave...
she hates to hand out money for bills and other responsibilities and she is way over 40, so it has nothing to do with age, it is just the person itself. Good luck moving, and i hope you don't move anywhere near the person that left like that.

I don't know what Sky is, but if the account is not in your name and you have no legal relationship with her (marriage, partner, parent/child) I don't see how you could have liability for the account. Forward the bill to her and reestablish a new account in your own name if you want to use the service if you want to be safe.

I think your going to have to phone Sky! If she took out the contract with sky and she signed the agreement it's her responsibility, Sky can't make you pay for it.

I think you should ring sky and explain to them it was in her name only, and you don't want it, if you have a forwarding address for her, give it to them, and they will sort it out with her,i reckon they will cancel the contract for your address, at the end of the day it is her problem not yours, good luck

I agree with focus. As a matter of courtesy just ring Sky and tell 'em she's emigrated. It's not your problem, bills in her name are a matter between her and her creditors, nothing whatsoever to do with you.

If the bill is in her name and you are not named at all then it is her responsibility. trust me they will track her down. There is nothing they can do to you. as long as your name is no where on the account ur safe.

It's not your problem. You can call Sky and I bet they won't even give you the information, considering it's all in her name. She may have taken care of it already anyway.

Dont take any action. If your leaving, just leave. They must have this happen continuously. If they`re interested they will make the effort to try and contact her.

sky is expensive too. I would just say that she moved out and have them terminate the service to your apt. They can't come after you its her account
