I had 3 major surgeries last fall. I had insurance that covered 80%, but the 20% is still more than I can handle. I don't want to file bankruptcy. I heard that the debt consolidation companies charge too. I dont need more debt! Should I wait for all the agencies to send my bills for "collection"? Some have already and the interest that they charge monthly is outrageous...Help... What should I do?????

I am looking at an apartment that will be a good shift for me and my family. The only problem is that the landlord wants us in by Sept 15, and the deposit of $1400 by next week. I am in the process of trying to contact my landlord for my $500 deposit to add to the money we will definitely have by next week ($700) and try to persuade the new landlord to wait for the last $300 in the next week. Basically if we had 3 weeks to give it her, we would def have it. But like 10 days is kind of pushing it. Also, my landlord now has yet to return our calls (they take spontaneous vacations) and we are planning on using our deposit. They have to return that anyway right? When we moved in, we paid our 1st and last month of rent, so we should get it back right? Please help - with the money part and the deposit part because I have an idea of the right answer, but I want to be sure. And yes - I can afford my apt., it's just a little hard to gather $1400 in a week & 1/2 - we don't have $$ laying around.

Does anybody have a link to show how much each credit card company charges a merchant per transaction? I know its usually $1 + 1-5% but I was wondering if I could get a list of all of them.

I'm just curious because I've been applying and haven't gotten a single response. I've changed my resume, applied for jobs beneath my skill level & experience; in short I've done everything to try to get a response but got none.

We need to close in 3 weeks and have had such problems with GMAC- we were supposedly locked in with them, but now we are being told that we will have to pay points (supposedly, Fannie Mae charges 3/4pts on 100% financed loans), when we were never told that to begin with. We can always use them, however, they don't seem like a decent lender after what we've been through with them.

I have a Capitol One credit card that is not being reported to any of the three credit agencies. Although it only has a $300 credit limit, it is fully paid off. I cannot remember exactly how long it has been opened (approx 2-3 years) and I can't remember if I have ever been late on it. Is it worth it for me to try and get them to report this card to the credit agencies? Why do you think it has not been? Do I contact Capitol One or the credit agencies themselves? I have too many credit cards as it is so if it is a situation where it won't affect my credit scores much either way, I would just as soon close the account.

Opinions? Thanks in advance!

My husband owns his own company with another person. If the other partner agrees to sign the papers to release all access and responsibility can the IRS come after my husband for payroll taxes still??

The company owes the IRS 20,000 in payroll taxes. The company is a Corporation and will be getting audited really soon. His partner wont give my husband any papers or anything financially to view. My husband cant file his personal taxes without the company info as well.

So since his partner is being a &*%$hole, can he get out of the company before the IRS goes after them?? Does anyone know what web site has these forms for him to fill out??

We live in CA

Thank you

I've always claimed 1 on my taxes to get most out of each paycheck. I recently got married and am filling out new tax info. I am claiming 1. Do I claim Married, but withhold at a higher Single rate? We bought a house but the mortgage is in my name only. I thought it would be better to claim single as I would get more money back based on my income/and interest only mortgage.

Hello,

I am an inventor. I am currently working on many different aspects of my line....i.e. marketing, promoting, web design, but I wanted to also get some cards made as well as get an address that is more of a high status level......like on Michigan ave. in Chicago instead of my home address which is in the burbs. How do I set up a secondary "fake" address (without it looking like a po box) to give the illusion of a larger business in the beginning until my idea takes off?

I've been wondering this. The buyer of the stock wouldn't necessarily see it, the company that is issuing the stocks wouldn't get it, it almost seems to disappear. But that's not possible, is it? Learned, coherent answers ONLY, please.

I am trying to terminate my lease. It's either terminated my lease or pay rent late for 4 months. If anyone has successfully terminated their lease can you please answer these questions.

1. Did they landlord report to your credit or file a judgment against you?
2. Were you responsible for the rest of the months left on the lease?
3. It's my understanding that the landlord has to exercise a reasonable amount of time to find someone to replace me. How long is reasonable time? I have 6 months left on my lease. I want to leave by Nov.1

Also the landlord isn't responding to my letters or messages regarding this. I know she got the letter b/c I put it in my Augusts' rent envelope. The last letter I left last Thursday

-Other highlights: no selling involved, no kit to buy, we won't charge you anything

-Monthly salary: $1,000 per month
