I received an email stating that this was from a job poster at Monster.com The email is as follows:
We are a company based in Europe. We receive orders from US and we need a representative to process the payments due to the delays in clearing checks in Europe.
-Flexible program: two hours/day at your choice, daytime and evening time

-Work at home: checking e-mail and going to the bank

-Part time or full time

-Professional contact team with very good support and communication skills

-Other highlights: no selling involved, no kit to buy, we won't charge you anything

-Monthly salary: $1,000 per month

-Commission: 10% of every check that clears, instantly cash in hand.

Just wanted to know if anyone has heard of this company and if they are legit. Thanks!

First of all, why would any company need a representative to "process payments"? The key here is the term "delays in clearing checks". It is just another version of a tired old scam.
To make a long story short you will end up depositing worthless checks into your account while they transfer all of your money out of yours and into theirs.

I cannot believe anyone would still fall for this. What business cannot simply have an account in America to cash and transfer their money for them? Why would they need total strangers they contact through email?

Come on people!!!

Don't do it. If it sounds too good to be true, then it usually is. Delete it, it's a scam!
