I'm starting a business soon and am finding it very difficult to come up with a catchy name. I asked on here before and got a few ideas but met with my accountant yesterday and he said the name I'd chosen was no good! Basically, my business is an after-school tuition centre in Dublin - it gives extra classes to people who want to get good results in their exams in secondary school. In years to come I plan on branching out and offering morning classes to housewives/retirees etc. as well.

Now, my accountant came up with FACT - standing for Fingal (that's where my business will be located)....... and after that I can't seem to be able to come up with something for ACT - maybe Academic Centre for Tuition??? Doesn't sound great so if you can come up with something better I'd appreciate it. I'm really stuck guys and running out of time as I need to have business registered asap.

If anyone can help I'd be really grateful

If I use a bubble envelope the size of 6 in by 4 in, smaller than the size of a normal envelope, is it still consider a letter?. Because I want to mail a toploader in it. if i choose parcel that would cost $1.13, but if i choose letter it would cost $.41 cents. The total weight is less than 1 ounce. SO i want to kno do they still accept it if i mail a bubble envelope (6 by 4 inch) (less than 1 ounce) with a first class stamp 41 cents

I bought a house in 1994 with my partner, things went wrong and I had to get the house repossessed, that was in 1996. Does this mean I can never get a mortgage ever again.

I have an "entry level separation" from Navy boot camp, which is hurting all my chances at getting a federal job. However, I was recently offered a position at a very low pay-grade, but it is Federal. If I took this job, would I be able to work my way up the ranks by proving myself, or will the discharge haunt me for the duration of my federal career? I dont want to sacrifice the good job I have now to get my foot in the door if I still cant transfer around afterwards.

It was an entry level separation, which means I only spent 2 weeks in boot. They said I had a personality disorder, but it was not bad behavior. Thoughts?

I currently work 4 12 hours days a week and get 8 hours of overtime a week. My boss put out a new schedule that has me working 11 hours a day with an unpaid 1 hour lunch and so I would only get paid for 10 hours a day and 40 hours a week. This seems like a raw deal with me working 4 hours less a week and losing 8 hours of OT a week. I have looked around on the internet and can't find anything about paid vs. unpaid lunches for different lengths of work days. I work in Texas if that matters. Anybody know the specifics of this portion of the labor laws or know of a website I can go to so I can find out if he can really do this?

i just filed chapter 7 bankruptcy and i had a garnishment coming out of my paycheck. the lawyer said the garnishment would stop, and it did, but they didn't take my taxes out either. the strange thing is that on my check stub, it shows they took out taxes and how much, but i made my gross pay plus $1.84 more, so what gives? is this right? should i worry about it? my gross pay was $626 (before taxes) and some change and i got payed $628 and some change. is there something in it for the company if they do this? can my employer make me pay it back if it's their fault?

I got a letter in the mail from Midland Credit Management, Inc regarding my debt with Verizon. This debt is from 3 1/2 years ago. It says to call them to arrange to pay the balance of $1096.08 by 8/10/07 .

It says " After evaluating you account, we have decided that it meets all the requirements for our arbitration process. Because you have not paid this debt or arranged for suitable repayment of the balance dud, we intent to submit your account for arbitration with the American Arbitration Association if we cannot resolve your account before 8-10-2007. This is your last chance to arrange repayment before we begin to expend costs related to the arbitration process. If an award is granted in our favor and costs are included in the award, we may also add these costs to your outstanding balance."

I am so scared! Please explain to me what this means. I'm afraid to call them, I don't know what to say and I don't want them to be rude with me. Thank you so much in advance.

3) Mr X's son = Cashier with a salary of Rs. 25000/- per month.

In short all employees are close relatives of the Managing Director drawing hefty salaries.

Is such an organisational set-up good in law?
Further are such salary expenses of the co.are allowed as admissible expenses from Income Tax point of view?
