My wife's w7 form was rejected which i submiteed along with my federal tax return. Previously i got a notice from IRS to submit additional documents within 45 days but within another 10 days i got a rejection notice. I did not pass the 45 day deadline...it was just 10 days. Now the rejection notice says that the federal tax return submitted with the w7 form will be processed seperately. I want to know as this is mistake on the IRS side if i re-sumit the w7 form will they reprosess it along with my federal tax return.

I was late on my credit card payment two months in a row. I think it was because I was travelling and they don't give me but about 1 week to pay the bill. What bothers me is the balance (which I paid) is less than $300 each month and the late fee is $39 plus finance charge. That's an effective rate of over 120% per year.

I suppose they have a right to charge whatever they want to charge, but this seems exhorbitant. Is there anything I can do to negotiate out of paying it or do I just pay up and be more careful in the future?

I recently purchased 7 acres of raw land in upstate ny. I am planning on building a small 700 sq. ft. cottage next spring.My grandfather (a retired builder) and my father ( a carpentar) said that they could do most of the work for me. I would have to get contractors for the well, septic and foundation. Thats going t be a pretty big chunck of money. Is there a way to get a loan for just that. Local bank has a D.I.Y. construction loan but only gives you 6 months to complete. I would like t finance as little as possible.

I mean my gosh......the band aid approach to maximize their profit is unreal. I'm all for market society but house flippers tend to be way too greedy. The "workmanship" I have seen is practically non-existent.

The house is on a road where a bunch of houses were built off one side of the road. There were two rows built. The first row nearest to the road has a short driveway. The second row, which is where the house I am interested in sits, has a driveway that goes in between the lots of the first row back to where the house I am interested in. The tract of land per the city does include that as part of the lot belonging to the house I am interested in. It is not paved, but only gravel. I know when you buy a house, it has to be surveyed but is there any reason why I should be concerned about this setup? Thanks for any suggestions and answers.

My wife and I are first time home buyers. We have heard that you can get some good deals buying foreclosed properties. I found one website that deals with this but all of the properties listed are already sold. Are there any legitimate sites where you can find up to date listings? Bargain Homes is not open for consideration.

I want to start off by saying im a lifeguard at a town beach. One day I went and smoked a joint with two fellow employees. This occurred on the grounds.
