I'm thinking of working full-time, but what puts me off is the possibility of coming home late at night (might not be very safe) and walking about the streets at night. Any advice?

I've jumped ship away from engineering and am now doing taxes full time. I'd like to know what you suggest doing to prepare for the EA exam (classes? books?). What tax software do you use? How do you know how much to charge? Do you offer electronic filing? Do you offer RALs and RACs? How do you protect yourself from lawsuits?

Any info at all will be much appreciated. You all deserve "best answer", so please do be offended if I give it to someone else.

Both were based on my Experian Credit report. Citibank monitoring scored my Experian Score at 609 but Creditreport.com scored Experian at 651. This was only within a weeks time and nothing had changed on my report. How do I know what score a potential lender would see? How do I find out the most accurate scoring info?

I posted a sofa & loveseat for sale on the internet. I had a potential buyer coming to see it on 11th. Another woman came to see the set on 10th. She said she wanted both pieces and left me a cash deposit of 1/2 the $$$ and would pick up on 13th. I immediately called the other prospect to cancel her appt. I have new furniture on hold until I sold my set so I also called them and arranged for delivery for the18th. On the 11th, I put the cash deposit from buyer towards my new set. Later that afternoon the buyer calls to tell me her mom bought her a new sofa as a surprise and she can't buy my set. I told her the $$$ was already gone. She said that if I am unable to find a new buyer by Friday night she would pick up the sofa but would not buy the loveseat. If I don't find a buyer, can I insist she still owes me money since we had a contract (her cash deposit constitutes a deal?) or can I insist she take the loveseat since it will be harder for me to sell that piece by itself?

I had some credit problems in the past and had some payments that were 60 & 90 days past due. This was around 3 1/2 years ago. The account was delinquent for about 6 months, the grantor closed the account, but I brought it to current and have been paying regularly ever since I brough it to current. On my credit report, the account shows as "closed by grantor" but "makes payments as agreed."

My question is - can a debt be sold to a collections agency in this situation? That is, "closed" but being paid "as agreed"? The debt is about 4K.

Thanks in advance.

I had a contract phone with orange that would only ring for 15 seconds, I got lots of missed calls , I work in a noisey place and asked orange to turn my answer m/c off, and extend my ring time, thay said I was on the longest ring time of 30 seconds ? I stoped paying , THIS IS A SCAM by orange to make more money and should be STOPPED . AS I WOULD ENEVIABLY return my missed calls and orange get the money Has any one else been unfairly treated like this

What time (if there is one) do direct deposits normally go into banks... Its 7:30am here and I just checked but it hasnt gone thru yet... Should I stop checking until tomorrow, or should I wait until the bank opens (around 9-10am) And is there a chance it would still go in today?

Thanks in advance
