Ok, I'm kind of a math brain but I do have other abilities. Right now I'm going to be a sophomore getting my BS in computer engineering. I got a great internship this summer and I realized how much I do not want a career in engineering. It's just not something I see myself enjoying.
I'm a person who likes simple things, I'm creative but have no special talents, I like staying fit and can be a health nut and I'm a very smart girl. I'm pretty shy, I hate presentations and all that networking b/s. I want a respectable job but I don't have to make millions. I know I can do whatever I put my mind to - I'm just looking for something pretty interesting to do with my life.

I know it might sound like I'm asking for a dream job.. but I'll take any suggestions. So far I have physical therapist on mind.. anything you can think of?

We have a ratified contract and already sent in the deposit money. However, I lost my job a week ago. Is it possible for me to walk away from the contract? Am I still able to get my deposit back if I do?

There is no financial contingency on the contract. And this property is not bought straight from cash; we're mortgaging.

So far, I've been in retail and restaurants...serving has been really, really good money-wise and is probably the the highest $/hour that I've ever had. I was wondering if there are any other suggestions besides being a waitress for making some good money while going to college full time?

Hello, I am a 17 yr old male that has had shares in home depot for about 12 years now(my grandfather bought them for me). I am not sure how many he bought, but know that now they are going for around 40$ a share. How can I see how many shares I have? Do I have to wait for the statement to come in, or is there another way. Also, how will I know when the right time to sell them is? What is considered a high price in shares. My parents tell me to just hang on to it, is this true. Thanks for any help!

i purchased a house with my brother, when he got married his wife wanted a new house they couldn't afford so he asked me if i would sign off on the deed let his wife be added refinance our house to get the down payment for their new house when this was done my name would be replaced on the original deed the way it always was, when his refinance was denied that promise never took place now he wants to sell our house with no consideration to me, in the mean time they abandoned the house she left him and he soon followed her to new home they stopped paying their part of the mortgage i saved the house by filing bankruptcy and have made those payments and trustee payments but they act like this was their home all along and they don''t have a answer for defaulting on the mortgage only thing they can say is we're on the deed. i want my name back on the deed as promised and also the mort. co. removed him from mort. since he hasn't been the one paying.

Hi everyone,
I have a score of 729 and 7 revolving accounts (only 1 with a balance). I opened up a store credit card (Express) to take advantage of a 30% off offer 4 months ago and have already paid off the balance. I've read that closing accounts usually hurts your score because it shortens the average age of credit, however, would my score still fall if I closed this account? Since it's the newest account, it would actually lenghten the average age of all my accounts if I were to close it (but lower my total available credit by just a bit).

I made a bid on a house and supposedly there were 2 other offers (or so the story goes...) and Coldwell Banker rejected my offer and did not counter. She said "my offer was the lowest and needs to be higher". Seems like Coldwell Banker does not have the Seller's best interest especially when I am a qualified buyer. I don't have time for this BS.

Here is the deal:

I have absolutely no credit at all. I've always paid everything cash. Now, I'm starting to realize I need to build up credit. How can I build up good credit quick?

I've heard that some secured card are bad because it shows on your report that you have a secured card, while others aren't bad.

Is being added as an authorized user to an account in good standing a good idea?

What tips do you have on building up good credit quick?
