If you want it to go public and his girlfriend and wife and your family members to find out, THEN DO IT. I forgot you will also have a problem getting another job. Then Do it!!!!!
Wait! You will also have issues with co-workers because once they realize that you are his favorite they are going to start talking about it to others and they will go against you and maybe report you and him. Then his boss will find out!
Then do it!

Here is the deal with office romances.
Just be prepared that one of you will have to leave the company. That's just the way things work.
If you mix work with romance, you will either end-up married or breaking-up. Either way, it will mean the end of someone's career with the company.
