No, your debit card has a number similar to a credit card, if it has the Visa logo you can use it as a credit card, the difference is that the money comes out of your account right away.

No. Actually you have two different numbers, one for your debit card and the other for your checking account. The reason for that is because, you can add signers to the checking account...so like three people can share the same checking account. However, the debit card numbers identifies who actually made that transaction.

No your bank account number and your debit card number are not the same. Your debit card will have a specific number on it that is attached to your bank account.

Hes right it is seperate, look on the bottom of your checks, the first set of numbers is the banks routing number, the second set is your account number, and the 3rd set is your check number.
