Actually they want a cover letter. They are sort of difficult to write. You should think about why they should hire you, your strengths and what you bring to the position. Do not write it from the perspective of what it can do for you.
You should be sending a cover letter along with each resume you send. I am attaching a link to a cover letter guide resource, with good samples. Good Luck!

If you are too illiterate to know what a covering letter is or how to write one, the maybe you had better stick to your old job.. like waiting tables or flipping burgers... didn't they teach you how to write a covering letter to accompany your C.V. when you were in school?
A covering letter shows that you can write an intelligent sentence and that you know how to CAPITALIZE proper names as well as the First Person Singular which is a CAPITAL "I" and not a lower case "i"
A covering letter explains why your are applying for a particular job and what you have to bring to the table. It is different from all the lies on your resume in that it is telling the company WHY they should hire you.

When something gets reported it takes more then one person to report it, actually I think if it gets deleted 5 people have to report it.... if 5 people report it then it must have something to do with the content.. I will admit I made my first report yesterday, I think that question is still on here. If an answer gets reported only 2 people need to report it for violation (yes I have had a few)... Most of the questions on here are mainly rants or statements, there is no question being asked, if that is found by moderators they will delete it without question.

Dear Sir,
I am applying for a career with your company because ... and I feel that I will bring skills that will be useful to your company, especially .... I hope you agree.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Applicant.
In other words, emphasize what is said in the application but is not emphasized there and mention what is missing, especially your feelings about the company or job. Keep it short and readable.
