Hello everyone,
I would need some help about this:
I interviewed with a company and I want to send them a thank you letter and put this in the letter:
"I know that you might be looking for someone with a little bit more experience, but I assure you that I am a fast learner/hard worker, and very interested in the position"
Should I not say this? Am I putting myself down by saying this?
The reason that I want to say this is because the job requirement is a little bit more than what I actually have under my belt (I would say I would meet maybe about %80 of the requirements, and not %100 of what they want), and I asked the guy at the end of the interview about how I did, and he said "we might be looking for someone with a little bit more expereince, but we'll talk it over, and I am not the one who makes the call, and I just do the technical interview".
Please help.
Thanks.

I'm looking to pursue a career in Nursing. I was in college but classes became costly and decided to take some time off. I'm trying to get into the medical field so I can take advantage of the tution reimbursement but its next to impossible to find a job if you dont have some sort of experience in the medical field. Any suggestions?

I am moving into an apartment with a mother and her daughter. It is a one bedroom in NYC. The mom wants to split the rent 50/50. Is that fair to me? They would take the bedroom and I would have the livingroom as my room. They will pay 2/3 of the utilities. I was wondering if you thought we should be splitting the rent 50/50 or not.

The problem is that the contribution may occur not at the beginning of the year...so to account for that, Is this correct?

I create an average base.

So for instance I beging January with 1,000.

if I contribute $100 in february, I multiply that by 11/12 to get 91.67

So at the end of the year I take my account balance, lets say 2,000 and perform these calculations:

(2,000-(1,000+91.67))/(1,000+91.67)) = 83%

Is there a better way of evaluating the annual return?

I am now paying over 15 percent interest on my student loans and it seems i'm going nowhere. I don't really have that much credit so do you think a bank would loan me 15,000 by myself. I wouldn't have a cosigner because my family has really bad credit.

Sometimes I wonder what would happen if I could magically see into the future (like in the TV show about the guy who got tomorrow's newspaper) and trade stocks. Would the SEC notice and investigate if I kept making fantastically well-timed trades in numerous different stocks?

I would love to live my life without credit.

makes no sense to use a credit card. You lose and the bankers win, all the time.

I am thinking of buying a website and getting one million pixels and selling it at a buck a pixel. They can post a link or what ever they wants. I can get people to start visiting the sight and then encourge businesses to go to it and buy megapixels and even any person who wants to post something or put a link to a webpage they have or want other people to see! Might it work? If not tell me how to make it better. thanks

I have no experience in purchasing stocks, bonds and mutual funds other than my employer's 401k deal. I signed up with Etrade.com and have considered purchasing some Apple stock to make a little bit of dough. But I've been told that I've already missed the initial stock lift from the iPhone hype. At the same time, once the iPhone is released, I'm afraid that stocks will skyrocket and I will regret not buying. Any thoughts? ~thanks

everyone is raving about the tax incentives for a first time home buyer and the tax returns on interest. On a 200k mortgage, would it be several thousands of dollars per year in write offs, or a few thousand dollars a year or several hundred dollars a year. I can't imagine it's that big of a deal.
