I have always enjoyed taking pictures, and editing, and making photo slideshows. I have no degree, and not much job skills. I'm 45 and basically starting over. I am about to just go try to get a job in retail, but people always ask me what I like to do, and say to figure out a way to get a job doing it! It's not that easy! Any ideas????

You could apply at a portrait studio, taking pictures at Sears may not be the best job but it might help get you some experience.

The other thing to try is make a website, take pictures at sporting events (little league, kids stuff etc..) and maybe dog and horse shows. Post samples of your work on your website. When you take pictures of someone's kid or dog or whatever give them one of your cards. Try to keep your prices reasonable and maybe offer some special effects type images.

I show dogs and there are a lot of people who will pay good money for quality pictures of the action, not just to posed shots.
