we are like sorta rich but not really. we have the money my parents just dont want to spend it. and were a little higher than middle class and i dont want to here this crap about how being rich isnt everything and its on the inside and crap

QUALITY! Buy more quality products (clothing, furniture, whatever) instead of a bunch of cheap products. Save up for the better items, if you have to. People with money can tell the difference... and they DO notice. (since you do care.)
Also, DON'T overspend - your family is right! If you don't have the money, don't buy it (i.e. don't use credit cards like a bank account!) . You also don't really know all the things your parents are paying for; or saving for.
Try not to spend too much time dwelling on this aspect of your life! Get out and enjoy it! You'll have your own bills to pay soon enough!

Hint: rich is a state of mind. We are relatively well off. Can afford to shop at Dillard's, Macy's and other snob stores but rarely do because I LOVE to do the Goodwill thing and thrill at a bargain. I repair clothes rather than throw them away. I drive a 9 year old car because it still runs and don't give a crap who cares. My money's in the bank and still mine because I don't blow it. Some people who are rich appearing are credit card broke...because they have to put on a show. Here's another hint: study in school. Learn how to differentiate "hear" (which you do with your ears) from "here" which is an adverb indicating a location. Your language will be rich and the rewards great if you can read and write and you can earn a good living.

DO NOT TRY TO LOOK RICH. Sam Walton drove a 15 year old pickup when he died. Looking rich is the best way to ensure you never are rich. The 'secret' to getting rich is to spend like you are not.

Mortgage your house, apply for every credit card you can find, and use the borrowed money to buy lots of flashy stuff like cars, boats, and clothes. Hang out in super-expensive places like fancy restaurants and resorts. In a few years you will be financially ruined, but in the meantime you will look rich.

you're family is happy where they are that's why they are rich. remember a rich person will always think that they are poor (that's why they are rich) whereas a poor person looks like their rich by living "ghettofablous". competing with other people will make you poor.
