The other day, I was picked up by a Sunstar Ambulance that was called by a police officer who thought I was having a panic attack.
I was taken 2 blocks and turned into a guinea pig at the local hospital where they found absolutely nothing wrong with me.
A month later, I got a bill from them for $470. I sent the bill to my medical insurance company and they remanded it back to me saying they wouldn't pay it. So now I'm stuck with it, but I was wondering if there were any technicalities that would allow me not to pay. For instance, the fact that I didn't call the ambulance. And the fact that I verbally protested to being taken anywhere.
I was also wondering whether they will take me to small claims court and what the penalty would be for my not showing up and, in eventuality, never paying them.
I'm a college student. So that should shed some light on my monetary predicament.

We plan on getting a conventional loan, but have come to a road block. The PMI, with our poor credit score, makes our monthly payments $200 more than we can afford. We paid off a debt, at the advice of our loan officer, but ran into a problem. (see my other question). Anyway, if we can't get our credit score up in the next week, we can either accept the payment that we can't afford or an interest only loan. I have heard a million times not to take an interest only loan, but can't find the reasons. We are first time home buyers, plan to live in this house for 5 years or so, and need simple and clear info about this. Thanks.

I have thousand of dollars from multiple credit card debts that are in collection since 2002. Most are charged off but some still lingers. I now have a good income and would like to pay off my debts; however, I read that if I do, the debts would stay on my credit report for 7 years from the initiation of payment. Hence, if I do nothing, then they would disappear in 2 years, while paying the debts would make them stay for 7 more years. I also have a court judgment against one account. Does this expires in 7 years or not? Ought I use my money elsewhere?

I was under the impression that the relevant companies would give me a cash amount for what has accumulated over the years. But I've been told that I would need to sell my shares in order to get the proceeds. If I do need to sell, is it worth it? The shares are related to utility companies.

Our mortgage is going on my husbands credit only. He has two collections on his report. Our mortgage lender suggested we pay off one and she would work with the credit reporting companies to up our score. Our loan is approved and locked in to a good rate, but we need the good credit score for our PMI. Anyway, we paid off the first debt and got the fax that all is well. She had his credit re-calculated and it went down. Another debt, a small one (1400) came up from 2002, but it was just turned into a collection agency this month. Anyway, my husband and I would like to pay this off too and recalculate, but our lender says that because of the date being so recent we would have to get the collection agency to agree to delete the date. Is that reasonable? We are supposed to close on our house on the 28th. Now, because of this credit issue and the score not going up we can't afford the payment and are locked in. Any ideas on the credit or how to get out?

I do have one brother, and dont want to risk losing it all. Any leagal advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have a gray pin stripe A line skirt that goes to my knees (nothing skanky). One stripe in the skirt is blue, so I'm wearing a blue short sleeved vneck sweater with a satin tie around the waist. I'm debating if I should wear a white or blank tank under the sweater. Black simple heels. Does that sound ok??? I didn't want to go too casual but definitely didn't wanna wear a suit.
