Hey,

They just contacted me about a repo from 04 and said they would put my house on a lien. I can't give the 10k they are asking for, but I also have a real estate in another state. Can they go after that too? I have an attorney working on my case (Workers Comp) and she filed lawsuit almost a year ago and still, no advance. What does the Lien consist off, and what are my options in this lien?

Also, should I use the real estate I have to get a loan from the bank?

Many Thanks!

I am currently renting out my property. I have wooden polished floorboards. One of the boards has been cracked open and split due to the wheels of the tennant's chair continuously rolling over it. They've lived there for 1.5 years. I have asked for a piece of plastic or a rug to be placed underneath the wheels of the chair but they have not done this.

I spoke to my property manager who has advised this is 'wear and tear' and not classed as 'damage'. I am not sure if her advice is correct.

If anyone is a landlord and can educate me on 'wear and tear' that would be great!

Also, do I need to call a place to get water?
Thanks.

Hi. Someone I know just got a letter about an account she owed money on 20 years ago. She thought she paid it off. I thought if you owed money on a credit card, that the debt is forgiven if you don't pay for 10 years. Now they are looking for 150 bucks 20 years later. Very odd.

Is debt forgiven in 10 years if you don't pay?

What do you do if there is an account with such a small amount of money that is saying you owe when you don't think you do and can't remember something that may have happened 20 years ago?

Everytime I meet someone who says this is not a scam, they always KNOW SOMEONE who it is working for. I've never met anyone who says "they paid of MY house, MY car, and/or I am getting monthly returns. Now, mt wife and I are both E7s in the Army. We both own homes and and between us we have five fully functional vehicles, and one child. In other words we are not rich by a long shot, but we are definitely NOT strapped for cash. We never even argued about money until we went to this presentation. I hated from the start and she made me stay, so I asked a bunch of hard questions and stirred up the crowd. She got mad at me and we have argued for months over this. I have an anger management problem anyway, so I said some things I didn't mean and she has done the same. Anyway this CCg crap caused the biggest arguments we have ever had in 8 years of marriage and 15 years of knowing each other. heres a news story on it: Its a scam! http://www.fayobserver.com/article?id=264290

I am trying to get out of vehicle debt. We have two vehicles. One is a little pickup that is paid for and could probably sell for $4000 (we just stuck $1000 in it recently). The other car is a really nice vehicle that I could maybe get $6000 at the very most for, but still owe $7500. There is no way I can get that kind of money for it! What should I do?
