Renting is different than owning a house. The rental agreement will have the specifics of what will be included and what will not. You may have to paint, but they will pay for any major appliances, etc...Any damages you dont fix will be deducted from your security deposit. See who is going to be responsible for the following bills: water, electric, gas, taxes, maybe sewer if not in city, and who does lawn care? Good Luck

Paying the mortgage payment and real estate taxes.

Being responsible for fixing anything that goes wrong, from a new roof at several thousand dollars to a faucet washer.

Maintenance and repair in totality. Homeowner's insurance. Taxes. Liability as a property owner. And anything else that comes along!

Before you make the leap, consider taking a free seminar for 1st time buyers. They are offered by non-profit groups all over the U.S. One day is a small amount of time to invest before you make the largest investment of your life.
