I'm moving into an apartment Friday afternoon, and was wondering how to get electric in there... I'm a college student and this is my first apartment, so I really don't know what I need to do.
Also, do I need to call a place to get water?

If this is an apartment house, the water should already be turned on and included in the rent.
Each apartment will have its own meter which will be read by the utilities company when you move in. Ask you landlord or onsite manager who your supplier is.

Call the electric company and ask them to turn it on. You might or might not have to also get the water turned on - it's often included with apartment rentals.
