i think my landlord is pulling a fast one with taxes on a house. from the outside it looks like a normal house. he has it divided up into 3 apartments. he pays all the utilities. i live in greensburg pennsylvania. i was wondering how i would go about seeing how the house is listed for tax purposes? he is a slum lord & i would like to see if he is up to anything as far as the house. any help would be greatly appreciated.

My husband and I want to buy a house that we found. The seller took a job out of town and needs to sell ASAP. The house is a great deal. The problem is we still own the home that we live in. We bought it 4 years ago as a foreclosure and redid the entire house so it;s practially brand new. We have at least 25,000 in equity. I'm wondering about getting an interest only loan on the new house until we sell our current home. Is this possible? Any idea how much an interest only mortgage would be for 190,000 dollar house? Thanks

My mother sold her house 2 years ago. The first time she tried to sell it 3 years proir she had it inspected and nothing was found, she was even offering a warranty at that time. She had major construction done, but it was all in the basement that she made into an extra luxury unit. The current owners have found water damage in one of the upstairs units and have had to do major repairs because of this. They want her to pay for all the repair costs and costs for energy since they found wires that were done wrong, which were not messed with while we were there, (the basement was only worked on). She is currently going to arbitration under their requests. She's been billed 490 dollars for this so far.
My question is, who should be responsible for all the damage costs? The current owners did not have it inspected before they moved in, and my mother had it inspected 3 years prior with everything fine.

I have done some brief research online regarding investing in silver. All the arrows point to the price per ounce going through the roof. What do you think has it peaked at 13.50 an ounce or will it rise to the projected 50 an ounce by the end of the year?

my daughter is 16 and will begin working her 1st job. Am I understanding right that she can earn up to the standard deduction and not have to pay or file taxes? Or does she have to file regardless? I tried looking this up online but not sure where exactly to go. Any help appreciated. Oh and one more question. Since I still claim her as dependant what should she put on her W4?

I have seen MANY MANY helpful answers to people who had debt while married and advice on what happens to their married debt now that they are SINGLE... but not ONE question about SINGLE DEBT in only my name, and what happens to that debt now that I am married. I certainly don't want to soil my new hubby's good name and excellent credit he worked so hard for. I do NOT want him to help me pay them and want to do this myself... but I worry if we are now married that somehow MY old debts that take longer than i'd like to pay off... might reflect badly on HIM somehow. He already has his house mortgage in his name, not OURS, and I know if we want to buy one TOGETHER that will get complicated if I have bad credit in the future... but as of TODAY, as of right now... can someone please tell me... in the state of Florida, if a single person gets married does THEIR BAD CREDIT or current or past due bills affect the new marriage partners credit? Thanks SO much in advance! - The Bride -

I've been in my apartment for 1 1/2 years. I owe my landlord a lot of money. I was in and out of the hospital, I have a child that needs continious medical care which means less hours at my job. I don't get child support anymore, and my imcome is less than when I first moved in, so I'm having a hard time paying the rent. I got served court papers this week. I don't have a clue about what to do or what to bring to court, and I don't have and can't afford a lawyer. I'm willing to pay what I owe, and I'm willing to make a payment arrangement. I can afford the rent if I break the payment up ( half one payday, the other half the next payday) But how can I do that and still be able to continue to live in my apartment?

We have never been late on our home payment. NEVER. Not even before we filed. Come december, when we are discharged, we will have only my student loans as bills- that's it. Nothing else. We both have current steady jobs, middle ranking incomes (96k combind). What is the likely hood we will be able to get a mortgage? We only owe 68K on our current home, its vauled at 180K, so we will have a huge down payment. Will banks even look at us?

I have this stupid collection on my credit report from DirecTV which I refuse to pay and battle with constantly. This is literally the only thing wrong with my credit report and I don't want this to screw it up.

I used to be a mortgage broker, so I know how credit reports are graded for the most part, but the majority of the time that I saw collections on someones credit, there were many other late payments to follow. Any ideas?
