Are you interested in a franchise or starting a new venture?

Develop a business plan that will allow you to obtain financing from a bank as a new restaurant will cost anywhere from $100,000 to several million to build depending on the location and whether you lease or own the property. Many chains sell their property and lease it back for tax reasons on a long term basis. Your equipment and front of house is another huge expense, I have done packages up to several hundred thousand.

Location can make or break a restaurant. Contact a real estate broker specializing in commercial property such as Coldwell Banker to obtain the best site. Sometimes the owner will be desperate to sell and give great concessions such as all of the equipment since many restaurants fail in the first few years.

A good location is very important, next is to come up with a good menu. Come up with a specialty that would make people go back to your restaurant. Something so special that when a person think of that certain food that person will associate that food to your restuarant. Next would be a good service, a lot of restaurant have good food but the service sucks and because of it people stop going. Then theres cleanliness... clean kitchen and clean toilet....

Hope this helps =)

One of the first steps is to locate a prime location and obviously know what kind of restaurant you want to have. Next you should Incorporate/LLC your company and you will need to accept credit cards at your location because people pay more when they use Visa/MC. Our company can help you incorporate/LLC, accept credit cards, and even get a website if you need it. Please contact us at sales@firstbankcardprocessing.com and we would love to help you out with your business venture.
