The goal of the interviews would be to bring out the positive aspects of their personality and their company.

I intend to structure the questiions into categories, e.g. Personal, Business, etc and choose questions from the pool depending on the particular interviewee.

Example - Personal Questions:
What do you consider to be your greatest personal achievement?

How do you unwind after a stressful day or week at the office?

Business Questions:

What can you tell us about [company name]?

What sets your company / products / services apart from (those of) your competitors?

How do you see the future of your company in the light of new advances in technology?

Any other ideas for questions or categories? I am trying to compile as generic a list as possible. Thanks

I don't understand. Up until the last year or so, Real Estate values were skyrocketing, now that it is a so called "buyers market," Why aren't prices dropping that fast? I want to purchase a home, yet the prices overall havn't dropped that much.
I live in a mid-sized community in the Midwest. Anybody got any ideas?

i found this off of the irs.gov free file page. i qualify to free file and i was wondering if anyone has used this one before. i was reading the license agreement and it says "printing or electronically filing your return reflects your satisfaction with Software, at which time you will be required to pay or register for the product."
so im guessing this isn't really free afterall, or its just free preparation.
if anyone has used this before and could help me out, how much is it going to cost to electronically file with this company?

In 1999, we opened a business in the US and by the time 2000 rolled around we were basically bankrupt. We closed the business and moved back to our home state. The sales taxes due for the business was not paid in due manner and we owed nearly 4,000. We made several attempts to set up payments with that state and were told by different people that it had to be paid in lump sum. In the meantime, the total was gathering interest. Three years later we came into a settlement of 4,000 and decided to pay the state the business tax we owed. We contacted a lawyer who suggested we write a letter of abadement (sp) and enter our plea in the letter to be free of the interest. The state cashed the cashiers check but we never heard back from them. We called after several weeks and were told we still owed the interest and penalaty on top of that, and that they were compliing interest upon the interest. Should we just forget it and include a letter in my husbands credit report?

The agency said "I'll pass your CV onto them and take it from there. They seem pretty desperate over there". What does this 'desperate' mean?

Unfortunatelly, I am looking after 3 subordinates in my current job.
This is not what I really want. But no choice as my big boss promoted me recently.

My sister and her husband have tried to get home owner's insurance but were turned down. She said they were denied because her husband is a diabetic and she is considered obese because of her weight She may be overweight BUT not obese. They need the insurance in case of one of the other's demise in the future that the home will be paid for. They are purchasing a triple-wide mobile home in North Carolina. Can you please give me the name(s) of insurance companies that will be able to give them home owner insurance in North Carolina.

Thank you all for your assistance in the aforementioned matter.

I have a residential land that was bought in December 2001, registered for a value (cost of land) of Rs.1.75 lakhs. Then by December 2004, I have completed construction of residential building in that land and the cost of construction was Rs.10 lakhs.

Now I am planning to sell the entire property for Rs.34 lakhs (value split: land - 24.75 lakhs, building - 9.25 lakhs) by Feb 2007.

Given the above numbers & dates, I would like to confirm that the gain is long term capital gain (LTCG)? Correct me if I am wrong.

Can I include the construction cost as the cost of improvement of the property in calculating LTCG?

What would be the rate of tax, service/surcharge/any other tax, if any, for LTCG per above asset transfer?

Thanks in advance,
Ram
