When I mean decent I mean a 4 or 5 bedroom house, with a large kitchen, and living room. A inground swimming pool outside, and with 31/2 bathroms. Witch Grantite, and marble countertops? 255,322,191 GPB converted into US Dollars it's $500,000.00 dollars. And over here in the US you can find great beautilful houses like my description. So anyone from the UK who can answer that, or anyone really that would be great. I plan on moving to London someday.

Its incredible how some foreign indexes follow the US stock market trend, for example the Emerging Markets Index has the same pivot points as the S&P 500.

But, can the previous day in overseas stock markets, that traded when Wall Street was closes, provide some clues of the next day in the US?

There is a woman I work with who is sitting here complaining about how she and her husband make too much money to receive free health insurance from the state (they have to now pay $30 for her whole family). She is 36 with an associates degree and pregnant with their first child, married less than one year, and she has one child that she adopted at about age 27. Her husband has no education past high school and pays $25 a month in insurance for his 2 daughters from a previous marriage. I have a Master's degree and work in a law office. I'm 26 with a husband and one child age 2. My husband is a state employee with a bachelor's degree; he is also a veteran of two wars. Granted, we have a fantastic insurance plan because of his position, but we pay a whole lot more than 30/month. Why is it that in our country, people are rewarded for not getting an education and making their own crappy life situation while people who work their butts off and risk their lives are punished?!?!?!?!?

I am planning to start school this summer and I need to work also. I thought about cleaning houses a few days a week. I am married and can only make so much money to still be qualified for finanical aid. I was thinking if I cleaned house I could do it under the table and not have to file it on taxes. I need some advise from people that do this for a living. I need to know what chores you do at the houses? Do you supply the cleaning products or do you make the person supply their own? How do you decide how much to charge? And any other advise.

Hi, our whole apartment building has been seeing roaches. We all went to the landlord with our concerns. At first he was giving each of us our own spray. Whne the problem grew way worse we all talked to him again. He had a person come in for 3 consective months and put down live bait, which is supposed to kill, them and render the males sterile. We have seen little improvement. I have boughten my own spray..entirely bleached my house, and put down bait traps every where.
The landlord has not sent the guy back to keep up. The guy doing our building could tell where they were coming from which is the apartment next to mine..the tenants before were extremely poor house keepers..
My question is do I have any legal rights with him due to this problem? Is there anyway to demand the problem be taken care of? Can I with hold payment for rent?
Where do I start with this?
We did not have this problem 6 months ago, its new. also this in NE.

I'm not eligible for my employers 401k for a year. What can I invest in in the meantime? I would like to fully invest as many pre-tax or tax deductible dollars allowed by the IRS. I believe the max on the 401k is $15,000 for 2007 but since I'm not eligible yet, am I only allowed to contribute $5,000 tax-deductible dollars to an IRA?? That doesn't seem fair.

If I were single I would get 2200 dollars back and my husband if he were single would get about the same. Why is this I thought you got better tax benifits for being married we filed our taxes and we only got $157. I filled out both forms just to compare and being married is alot less.

I had quit an old job and a couple months later I recieved a check in the mail from my 401K. I was wondering if i needed to report that on my taxes, the letter that came with the check said that taxes had been taken out, and someone told me that if it was less than 600 dollars then I wouldn't have to report it. Is that true?

I recieved an email this morning from Turbo Tax telling me that my return had been accepted by the IRS and to expect my refund on 2/9/07. I went to the IRS website and they have no record of my return yet. Do you think that I'll get my refund on 2/9? Could the IRS website just be slow to update? I'm not really in a big hurry for my return, I'm just curious. Thanks!

I got started with a network marketing group lately but everyone I try to add to my downline has no ambition beyond working a 9 to 5. They don't want to change their comfort level. How do you sell the idea of residual income with little work?

I'm looking for an efficient way to do my taxes but am not sure what to use. I tried turbotax but it keeps asking me for a credit card to pay for the service before sending in my return stuff. I would use a credit card if i could, but i'm only 17 and dont have a credit card yet. is there anywhere online where they take the money they charge for the service out of your tax return.

I'm trying to increase my credit score as much as I can this year because we are looking to buy a house next year.

On one of my credit cards ($500 limit) I noticed that they started charging $6 a month participation fee. I called and found out that's the fee for them to report to all three credit report bureaus.

This card has a pretty long history on it and I'm worried that cancelling it might affect my score, but at the same time, I'm paying $6 a month. Is it worth cancelling this card to avoid that charge?
