My fiance and I have a house in both our names, and a 15month old child. Who claims the house property tax (which we jointly pay with the mortgage) and who claims the dependent?

If you're both biological parents of the child, then you can choose who claims the baby - the one with the most income will probably save you the most, but not for sure so try it both ways.

As to the house, the easiest way is for the person whose social security number is on the form you get from the lender to claim it. Technically you should split it for what each of you actually pays.
