Am wanting to know whether my employer is competitive at 5%? It is a fortune 100 company.

Yes, a lot of schemes would be EE (Employee) contributions only. Do they offer a matching options to:

For instance: for every 1% you put in, they will match it (up to a certain %)?

The schem we offer is very reasonable, our DB (final salary) is fully funded by the ER (Employer) and the DC (Money Purchase - a bit like the Personal Pension). Is 10% ER, and a matching of 1:1 up to 5% against EE contributions. Hope that makes sense!

I would say 5% is very good indeed = a lot contribute Zero !

NB. If it's a Final Salary scheme, they have little choice about their Contribution (it is forced upon them by the 'Actuaries')

5% is a good average.most 0 could the owner is a fat git in the carribean and will shortly die.others especially big companies and council, what you put in they will match.

Seems OK to me. Make certain you contribute the same amount but preferably more.
