I'm looking for an efficient way to do my taxes but am not sure what to use. I tried turbotax but it keeps asking me for a credit card to pay for the service before sending in my return stuff. I would use a credit card if i could, but i'm only 17 and dont have a credit card yet. is there anywhere online where they take the money they charge for the service out of your tax return.

Try going to the Free File link at IRS.gov. At your age, there's a good shot that your income level is well below the limits for free filing.

You didn't say which version of TT you're using (desktop or online). If you used the web version and you follow the Free File link to TT Freedom Project, your info will still be there, but it won't ask you to pay up.
