I have a few convictions on my criminal background (misdemeanor) that are over 5 years old. I have started going back to college and want to become a R.N. I have my medical assistant license and have applied for jobs at the hospital but have been turned down because of my background. just wondering would this be an issue too if I were to get my nursing license. Do they disregard it after so many years or what? Nurses, anybody help me out!

II'm thinking about filing for bankruptcy and am wanting to get a copy of my credit report before I actually decide to do so. I was wondering if there is a way to get a copy of my credit report without having to pay somebody to do it. Equifax wants a monthly fee and I just want one copy. Nothing more. I would be greatly thankful for any help that you could lend me. I'm trying to make life easier for my family. My past isn't helping. Please help if you have any information. Thank you and God bless.

I have only been in business for my self since March. When I first started I remebered all the people who complained about being ripped and poor work. Wow have I learned ! I have been stiffed, analy raped and called a cheat. I have been doing alot of work with investors and they are the worst. I have had order changes then argue that it should not cost more, wanting me to buy their materials when the bid was for only labor and now one that shines alight up a wall looking for shadows. I guess My question is what am I doing wrong? Why cant I get a steady flow of repeat customers, Why am I having such a hard time with investors? Did anyone else have the same problems? Thank you for your replies

Here's the situation: real estate prices fell, my mortgage is more then the condo is worth (which means I can't refinance). I am renting the condo out, but still have to come up with over $500 out of pocket every month to cover the HOA and taxes. I also have an adjustable interest (which will only keep going up). If I sell, I'm still going to own on the loan. I really don't want to foreclose. Can any one come up with any good ideas of what I should do?

I need your opinion as to whether I should make prepayments on my home loan or make investments for the same amount.

One thought says that my EMI amount will be fixed and considering a 20 year span, the worth of the EMI 10-15 years from now will be very less. The same amount can be invested in mutual funds having a medium risk.

My wife says that if we make a prepayment, our liability goes down and are done with the loan sooner as the prepayment amount is deducted from the principal amount and the floating rate of interest will go down in another 5-6 years to ~7% levels?

If anyone has already given thought to this, please reply. I'll really appreciate some thoughts from CAs and home loan professionals.

i dont have good credit (score in low 500s) but i have gotten a good job that is about to pay me 33,000 a year. the problem is i just started working there for about 3 months, i tried to get a car loan but got denied several times because of my school loans which are deferred, but high around 40,000.
Now i was only going to put $1000 on the car, i wanted that toyota yaris or a chevy cobalt but got denied left right and center. also i had a couple delinquent payments cuz i lost my job and wasnt able to pay (hence the new job). i am in the process of bringing tjem up to current.
If i put 50% down on the car will my credit be able to finance the rest? The car dealer told me the more money i put down the more the bank is likely to give me the loan. Is this true? or will i be embarassed
