First of all congratulations on your upcoming motherhood!!!
I am very happy to hear that you are smart enough to realize that those work from home opportunities are really scams to either get your money ... or get your email address and bombard you with spyware and marketing information.
Realizing that you are more intelligent than to fall for the quick and easy survey or other work from home schemes, have you considered your own business??? Why work for pennies and let someone else make money instead of working for yourself and make 100% of the profits after expenses and taxes are paid???
If you've got the kind of time and energy to put into making someone else rich, why not use it for your own gain?
Building a business is not easy and definately not quick but is rewarding and profitable. The hard part is knowing what you want to do. Do you want to provide a product or a service or a combination??? What needs are there in your community??? What are your skills and passions???
Don't sit around and wish for a job to fall from heaven into your lap... go for it. Create your own destiny. The website below is for the Small Business Association, a governmental agency that can help you with a business start up plan FREE.
The excuses must stop in order for the actions to begin.
It's time to invest time and energy in YOU and your family. The SBA can help.

Stay away from CashCreate, Treasure Trooper and other survey Web sites.
It is a waste of time and will cause you unhappiness.
If you choose to be suckered in and sign up to take surveys and receive, free trials considered you were warned. The minute you give them your credit card and personal information you have now opened your computer to unwanted cookies on your hard drive, annoying pop-up windows and if you are on a PC you open your computer to viruses that can wipe you out.
A lot of work to collect the "reward payments" that payout is not worth the effort over time. You will need to sign up for many types of offers, most of which require you to use a credit card. You start a week trial service with varies types of businesses or services, such as, an Internet service provider, book club, credit monitoring service, etc. to get your reward. If you don't cancel the trial, you end up being charged for the service and each service has different rules about how and when you can cancel. Very cumbersome!
Since you will need to sign up for at least a dozen offers before you get to $100 in rewards, it's very easy to forget what you have signed up for, or the problems you will have canceling in time to to be charged the full amount. The Cash Create recruiters you see here over exaggerate how much money you can earn because once you've done the high-dollar trials ($8-10 each), you are left with small rewards of a dollar or two. The survey business is not an efficient way to make money and you are more than likely to loose money in the end.

Hi, dreams die hard. If you plan on staying home, working and raising your child all in the same environment you'll drive yourself crazy. You need some space between you your job and your child. You will eventually feel like a prisoner. If you can get a baby sitter to give you some free time that would help. Is the kids father in the picture? Will he take it from time to time and provide MONEY? How about your parents. Will they help out with baby sitting and MONEY? I have a small business I run out of the house www.webtoddler.com It drives me nuts to be isolated so I also have a part-time job outside the house. Anyway, go to the library and ask one of the librarians to help you research home based businesses or jobs. They'll point you in the right direction. GOOD LUCK!

Try being a surrogate mother. You would carry someone elses child in your womb, It would not be related to you/share your DNA. You have to be in a surrogate friendly state. It will pay you about $20,000+. You can start as soon as 6 monthes after you give birth to your baby.
Go to www.surromomsonline.com You can find info on that site if you are interested.
Or you could be a foster parent.
Or start Day care out of your home. My friend makes about $2000 a month doing daycare out of her home.

I am also a stay at home mom. I work at home representing a legitimate company that offers a valuable service to millions of people who need it. This is an opportunity to work at home and build a business that pays lifetime residual income. Visit http://www.deliveringonthepromise.com/40463012. This is not a "get rich quick" scheme. It takes a commitment to make a positive change in your life.

well you can ask your relatives to look after your child and you can go work. or if you don't want to work you could always live with a relative and help them around the house, while you are a stay at home mom.

can your family help you in babysitting ?? so you can find a job you like ?
will you be able to get government assistance so you can stay home ??
there must be places you can go and have a talk with people in the know, like the anti-natal visits, ask other mums-to-be...they will be able to offer you advice.
good luck
