It seems like most are more apt to buy the new car even when the old one is still doing the job than put the money away for their rerirement.

I've heard of business casual and business formal and terms like that...but for a recent event, I inquired about the dress code and was told "nice business attire" is the way to go. What is that?!

***I would really like someone who has experiences with resume or knows a lot about resumes to help me. I really need to get back out there after being a stay-at-home mother and a college student for some time now.

Can someone give me some input on my resume? I am not sure I am doing this correct. I’ve read numerous resume how-to books, but it can be really intimidating to put your work history on paper. I read that I should put my education first, if it’s my strongest selling point, so that’s what I did, hopefully that’s right. And is it okay to add unpaid work experiences, such as family run business? Most of my jobs are similar how do I group them up so that it doesn’t take up so much space, because they basically are the same.

How do you get the best price possible for an odd size piece of land, that is buildable, in a residential district.

There are also businesses right near by and the town is expected to grow soon.

Any idea? Thank you.

My English B.A. has led only to menial jobs, and, six years later, I know I am going to have to do something else if I ever want to own a home and save money for retirement. I am considering grad school, but would jump on any job paying $50,000 or more per year that I could train for in less time than grad school would take.

I will not do anything unethical or work excessive overtime, but am otherwise open. Give me any idea.

Like I'm good at math and I like it.I'm interested more in the medical field but I know I don't want to be a nurse or work w/xrays or a physical therapist.I'm interested in pharmacy but I want to know how do you know if it's really for you. What is it like? Any thing that you think I should know, the good and the bad things about it.

I know a guy who recently graduated from high school (barely!) who is looking for his way in life. He tested out with a low average IQ of 85 to 90, he struggled all his life with school, having been kept back at least one grade. He never helped his situation much by getting in trouble with the law and at school now and again earlier in his teens. Nothing serious, but he does have an aggressive streak which has led to numerous fights, discipline problems, and trouble getting along with others at certain times. Obviously college is not for him as he was one of the bottom three of his high school class. He grew up in a tough, industrial neigbourhood of a dirty old rust-belt city.

I don't recognise any marketable skills or traits coming through other than the fact he is assertive, however he doesn't speak well publicly and can be belligerent.

My question is this: What kind of jobs in today's economy would suit a fellow like him now that most unskilled factory jobs are gone?

I'm a college grad with a not so great employment history, and after watching shows like Bike Off and American Chopper on the Discovery Channel during weekday mornings while I remain out of work, I am now starting to toy with the idea of doing good ol' manual labor to help pay the bills. I'm not talking about being a floor sweeper, but a job requiring a little more skill and higher pay. One position I am considering is one where you lay tiles. I have a tiny bit of experience doing that.. any other ideas? I would probably start out doing odd jobs and stuff like that. I don't have a vocational degree or certification and definitely am too entrenched in debt to consider going back to school. And no I'm not open to taking out a loan.

When my roommate moved in we signed a contract that I type and we signed it as a legal dacument, it say that the security deposit was not to be used as his last month rent, because it was to cover any damage done by him to the room or house. He know that he signed the contract and has a copy but said that he will use the security deposit as his last month rent. What can I do? I have to fix what ever is wrong with the room, and the door lock that he brock. What can I do?
