If you are planning to stay in Ohio for long ...go for buying a house instead of renting....the Ohio market is now a buyers market ..the prices of the real estate are falling but the apartment rents are increasing ...

You can also usually find the local classifieds of the newspaper of the area you are moving to online also.
If you are going to be there a while you may be better off buying, but under 4 years you should rent.
