-----Read books on how to start a business. Try to find books on how to start a beauty supply business. Visit beauty supply businesses well outside your business's trade area and ask for advice, since you will not be a competitor of them. Get a job in a beauty supply business and get paid to learn on-the-job. ---Jim

It would be good if you were a former beautician but you don't have to be that. If you had some management experience and a large downpayment on a building, or signed a lease that would be a start, then you'd need money for products, and sales people.

But as with any business you should take SBA courses (find them in your phone book under Federal), and then go to their website sba.gov and make a 5-year plan on your proposed beauty supply business, make the proposed income equal the expenses and take that to maybe a bank, credit union, or someplace that would lend you the money you will need.
