I had a similiar situation when I checked my online statement I was double charged from the same vendor. I contacted the vendor and they confirmed they had only one transaction in their system. I contacted my bank to find out that the bank had a glitch in their system and I was double charged. The bank made a notation in their system to correct the charge. Contact your bank immediately regarding the discrepancy. Hope it works out...

If it is a debit card, you must do it immediately. You can't wait a few days and then go to your bank. Take your statement to your bank ASAP and show them the mistake. Most banks will correct any errors they find like that. But again, it must be done right away.

I used to go to a restaurant that did this as a way of making sure the funds were available when they finally took the payment from my account...when the status of your payment (in your bank account) moves from "pending" to "paid", you will most likely find the extra two charges returned to you.

This is a common practice done by businesses to make sure they get paid for a purchase. Its crap but they do it. It keeps you from overdrawing your account and helps them get their money.
