It clearly is not his fault but our insurance agent wants us to file a claim against our own policy. He will not help us unless we do. So we are not sure how to proceed. He did go and get 2 repair estimates today. He also spoke with the person handling the insurance claims for the newspaper company. She was clueless because she had no paperwork on the accident yet. We will have the police report on Thursday.
Any assistance will be appreciated.

I had prior experiance with merchandising for dollar general, setting up seasonal merchandise, doing resets and displays. I loved doing this kind of work and would like to know what to do or where to go to make it a carreer?

I bought some stocks in 2005. If I sell them today, I will have lost 90% of my investment. I need a tax write off and was wondering if this is a good idea? If you want to know if the stock is going to rebound the answer is no. It will probably lose all of its value in the next couple months. Thanks for the help.

Could it be because the company is bloated and has a staff of people monitoring every board to make certain that postings are PC or could it be that the people who run the company have NO idea what a community is? Or could it be the company is so far from innovative that a Chinese competitor will sell more advertising than Yahoo for less money guaranteeing better metrics and ROI. Or could it be that basically Yahoo just sucks?

I bought my first house this April. I live in NJ. I got my mortgage tax statement yesterday, and I've paid close to $9000 in interest. My closing costs were around $6000. I've heard you are supposed to get a sum close to the amount you paid for your closing costs back come tax time. What kind of refund can I expect, not factoring in job, 401K, etc?

I went to give my employer 4 weeks notice (this is what my contract states I MUST do on leaving employment) and my boss told me to clear my desk and go, I was basically kicked out of the building with my boss timing me! I have worked there for two years and have always had a really great working relationship with everyone there so you can bet I was a bit surprised. My new job was lined up to start after the 4 weeks I gave my present employer but they now say they will pay me till the end of the week and thats it (one weeks notice) I'm furious that I have done everything by the book and am worse off for it. People who have left before have just not turned up after payday and I can see why now! I feel like a criminal, like I have done something wrong and been sacked and all I have done is decided to move on and try something else. Basically I am left in a big hole now right before Christmas and I have a young family to provide for, can this be legal?! Really appreciate any help xxxxxxxxx

I am renting a condo in NYC. My current lease ends on 12/31/06, and I signed a new 2-year lease to take effect on 1/1/07. The apartment's owner is foreclosing on the place, and it is to be auctioned on 1/17/07. I do not want to stay in this apt. anymore. The condo board drives me crazy with notices and info concerning this eviction, and I would like to move before my current lease ends. I have found an apt. that I love elsewhere, yet I don't know if I can cancel the lease that I signed (the one that begins on 1/1/07). The apt. is going to be sold anyway, and the board still has not sent back a copy of the lease, signed, so I don't even know if they have agreed to it at this point. Can I get out of the lease?
