I am looking at purchasing a large home that has been converted into four apartments. I plan to live in one unit and rent the other three out. It is zoned comercial. And the taxes are over 4,000 per year. Should i change the zoning to R3? Would that affect my taxes (better/worse) And does it cost alot to change zoning?

Some say two weeks, some say you don't have too, some say it depends on how long you've been there. I would not mind giving two weeks except that I really don't want to work between Christmas and New Year's eve, and I'd like to have a week rest before starting another job...

What is the worst/most rude thing someone has said to you at your job??

I have several. I work at a steakhouse.

One time I was asking a man who happened to be foreign what I could get for him and he said something which I couldn't understand and I said, "excuse me sir?" and he goes "SHE CANNOT UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM SAYING!!" with a very heavy accent, but I heard him that time. I thought it was so arrogant and rude of him to get mad at me because I, a native of this nation, could not understand him.

Another time was when these guys were leaving as I was coming in and they go "hey baby, look at that fine piece of ***"--I was so upset and embarrassed. It was very degrading.

Another time a guy came up to me and told me that one of our Hispanic bus boys had picked up their stuff while they left and went to the bathroom. He proceeded to call him a "taco-eater" to my face. I got so mad at him, I had to bite my tongue unless I wanted to be fired. What are y'alls experiences? :

I haven't worked in 5 years while I was a college student, but before that, I had 2 years retail sales experience, 1 of which I was an assistant manager.
So, I'm thinking of taking a year off after I graduate from college this month, and work in a retail setting in a supervisor type of position in order to save up money for graduate school.

Would it be a good idea to take some weekend courses on Management or Retail at a community college before applying for jobs, so that I CAN get a job. Because I'm concerned that my lack of employment in the past 5 years is gonna be a problem when looking for a job.
What do you think? Thanks for your opinions :-)

How would I determine how much I could receive from social security if I start drawing my hospital pension when I turn 62 in February. I don't want to start drawing this soon but I'm trying to save my house and avoid bankruptcy. A friend told me the amount I receive will be drastically reduced epecially if I stay FT employed. There's probably not a simple answer but I thought I'd throught it out there for thoughts.

I'm 20 years old.

I'm a 3rd year college student.

I have student loans that I pay the interest on right now.

I want to know what is the best way of starting a retirement fund at my age that won't require me to put it a lot of money.

How do I go about starting up the fund you recommend?

I just want to start now because I know for my generation, retirement money will be an issue.
