What are some good starting jobs that teens can get? I'm pretty much capable of most things, and have good social skills, not exceptionally athletic(but in shape), love people, animals, basically just in need of some good ideas, thanx

Fast food restaurant, clothing store, separtment stores, the mall, the animal shelter, grocery store, car dealership(mainly washing cars), car wash, a farm, maid service, paper route, waitress/busser/hostess...there are so many things that you can dot, but it mainly depends on what is available in your area. Personally, I started out with a paper route, then moved on to a small corner meat market, then a department store where I was a cashier and then ended up working in a fast food restaurant. Before you say eww...I would never work with food, it turned out to be the best job I ever had and I still work there when I'm not in school. I got decent hours, the pay was good and they were flexible with my schedule.

+ Basically the more dangerous the job, the higher the pay, but you have to be willing to take the risks to get big money. As a teen I took jobs driving nitro trucks to mines, and doing underwater natural gas pipeline welding. As a driver I was paid $1,00 per mile and back and that was big money at the time. I think it pays about $10.00 per mile now. As a diver I was paid a dollar a min per foot of depth times a dollar per min per foot up a pipe Times the hours that I was on site. (I could make $500 in a day in 1969) Of course of the 99 kids that I knew that started off doing this with me there are only 3 of us still alive. Boy did we have a good time with all that money. Another good job that has a lot of danger, but pays pretty good is Sky Scraper window washer. You go over the side on a rig and swing down to the windows and clean until they lower you to the next. I heard they pay a lot as several die each year in accidents but if it is high pay that you want there you go.
My last job as a teen was as an Ice cream taster and I did not get much money but is sure was safer and a lot of fun.
