I have two friends who entered into a lease agreement in June 2006. The landlord had the husband sign a lease upon moving in. He then came back later with a revised lease that stated that they have a 13 month lease that expires on June 30 2007 and had the husband sign it too. He revised the lease to say that the tenants would be responsible for the property taxes from June 2006- Dec 2006 and then from January 2007-June 2007 as well as the homeowners insurance for the same time frames. The landlord did not list what those amounts are. He then listed that the tenants could purchase the home for 170K and that he could sell the home any time after January 31 2007. The landlord has told them this week that it is now time to pay the taxes. Is it legal or customary for a landlord to ask tenants to pay his property tax bill and homeowners insurance outside of the monthly rent?

Divorced couple in 2000, buys a house together in 2003 because of kids. He wants to sell, she doesn't. She wants 25K to move out which he doesn't have right now. She has a lawyer, he does not. The kids wish to stay with the father. Both names on the deed of the house, only his name on the mortgage. Any suggestions for this situation and the easiest way out for both?

We moved to Spain in 2003 and now I have to return to the UK due to us splitting up. My husband told me today that he did not pay off his credit card bill or loan (both in joint names) Will this effect me getting a mortgage back in the UK. We have had a mortgage in Spain for 3 and half years and a credit card, can this go in my favour or do UK lenders not check foreign accounts and will I have a CCJ even though we'd left the Country.

I mean if I have what it takes and all. Any chance they would hire a petite girl, but one that's certified and not discriminate? And I already know that anything's possible, but let's be realistic too.

I work in call center and the employees each have their own cubicle, any way I have been sick for a while now with a bad cough, but missing work is not option, because of the kind of system we are on.(a point system, after 10 points you are let go, no questins asked) I am at 9! After the 1st of January I go down to 2. Back on track... There is this guy who has been staring at me and standing over me and generally making me uncomfortable and he was sitting kinda next to me, so I moved to the other side of the cubicle wall and he sat in front of me!! He was not bothering me so I let it go. Then last night as I was just about to get off work I started coughing(and bad) He stands up says, "I am trying to help customers" the conotation being for me to quit. This infurated me to the point I really wanted tell him to kiss my a**. I didn't do this but have been mad ever since. Did he have a right to do this and I am I being to sensitive or did he really cross the line? What would you do?

I recently tried to ship perfume to Japan via USPS only to have it returned to me with a note saying that they will not deliver because it is a prohibited item. I called the local office to confirm. I advised them what their website indicated and forwarded a copy of their website policy information for Japan. They advised that they still would not ship it for me. They advised to file a complaint. I went to their website and input my shipping information and double checked their prohibited and restricted items list. Neither listed perfume. This seems to be a contradition. I've emailed support to inquire but that could take days, maybe weeks.

I'm debating buying a property w/ my girlfriend in NJ, however I don't know if the tax benefits would be greater if we both buy places.

We live together and if we both buy properties, only one of us will get the tax breaks...

I took out a car loan for someone who now is my ex we ended in very bad terms. he broke up with me. he said he was going to continue making payments but to pay it all in full it would take about years. I refuse to have any kind of relationship with him. I suggested we take out a loan where I co-sign and then in a year or less he can build up enough credit to take out his own loan. (right now he can't on his own because he doesn't have credit and by me co-signing and putting him on the loan i assume this keep him more on his toes when it comes to paying and i'll get out of it sooner). Now to do all this the dealership needs his info for the loan application i've asked him the dealership has called him and he tells me when he gets a chance and he tells the dealership he will call back. I'm very annoyed because he ended the relationship and it would only seem logical for him to want to get out of all this quicker than i do. what should i do? it's been two weeks that hes playing these game

Im 16, and a well manored, well behaved and hardworking guy.

My problem is that my parents, more specifically my Mom and my Stepdad treat me like crap. I am treated like the worst child in the world, i have recently got into the best college in the country (UK) and always attend college/work hard. They are so strict, with stupid insignificant things, which mount up.

they have no issue with me getting drunk and staying out as late as i want (they go to bed without a care for where i am) which i guess is cool, but on the other hand they are completely anal about stupid things, such as waste. My stepdad has a good job (polic officer) with lots of money, however he still insists on routinely patrolling the house to ensure that i am not "wasting his money".

Examples of his rules:
No Tv when computer is switched on,
No Coat in the house,
The computer cannot be left on by the mains,
I cannot use the phone to call mobiles,

It seems stupid but it all adds up, making homelife terrible
