I'm still in high school, and I'm using one of my teacher as my reference. When I put her in my application form, do I put:
Ms. hername? or
Firstname lastname?
does it matter? (I don't know her first name though...)

My husband and I were past due on one of our notes in the bank by about 3 months. We have always made our payments on time prior to this, however due to circumstances beyond our control, we were past due. Our banker withdrew every penny we had in our checking account, without notifying us prior to doing it. My husband and I had the funds in our account to pay on the note, and enough to cover some of our bills. When he withdrew the funds, we had outstanding checks that he then bounced. Can this action on his part be legal? Doesn't the bank have to give you notice prior to doing this?

Here is the situation... I called two of the three scumbag credit agencies. My credit score was up there in the mid 700's. I have had two new car loans back to back (one after the other). Never had a missed or late payment for that matter. However, since I haven't used a credit card or had ANY bills in about two years I have a BLANK credit score. Not even a 001. Just blank. When I called the company they (along with everyone else I have asked about this scenerio) were sitting on thier thumbs and rocking back and forth while scratching thier heads. How can you lose a credit score that you built up and have it go blank for "being ahead of the game" and not having bills. This is complete and utter b with a lot of s afterwards... Is there anyone who can explain how I can leave the game with a mid 700 and try to get a best buy card for $10 and not have any success? I could walk in and just buy a car but since I hate credit cards and don't use them I now have a blank score...

I very upset with my mortgage company. 1 year ago they gave me a courtsey call telling me i have 45k in equity in my home. They threw me an offer to cut my bills down ect. I went into talk to them at a local office and they spelled every thing ourt My 1st loan is 140k on a adjustable plan. They were telling me to roll in my car loans, credit cards and student loan to cut monthy payments total as 70k. They valued my property at 220,000 did not send our a appraser, they also told me that it would help my credit score substantually doing this so i could refinance my 1st. Now my 1st adjusted from 5.7% to 9.22% with payments increase HUGE. I called Country Wide to dicuss refinancing. They looked it up and it did show my Credit Score did go up to 680. and yes we are ready to work with you. They sent a appraser our 300 dollars extra out of my pocket and they apprased the property at 185k, leaving me backwards 35k. they then told me they could not do anything.

I have been tinkering with the idea of reporting someone I know to the IRS for a few years. What stops me is that I feel like I would be a bad person for being a snitch. Is it ethical to not tatttle-tail? Is it ethical to tattle-tail (not reporting income is a crime)?

I had something negative on my credit report over 8 years ago. A balance was still owed according to them. Since I did a credit check a month ago these people have been calling me about the past balance due from 8 years ago. I told them I wasn't going to pay it since it wasn't my fault and they said then they will put it back on my credit report. Can they do this? It's been 8 years and it was over a vehicle.

does that limit you to word of mouth and advertised positions where you can send out your resume?

What about cold calls? How do I make them as discreet as possible? Call during break time?

Any more tips? Thanks.

I just got offered a job as an Account Executive for a good international company, I was scheduled to start on 11/27. However, I went to take my fingerprinting test on Friday afternoon. The receptionist that was supposed to mail off my test sent it to the wrong place.

So today, I had to go back, drive 30-35 min and do my fingerprinting test take it to the job(another 25 min), afterwards I went to get my hubby from work, they called and told me nobody signed the fingerprinting test, so my hubby and I had to drive all the way back to the job and pick up the fingerprinting test and get it signed. So I told the receptionist to call the fingerprinting dept to see if it was open...

It had closed early for the day.

My start date was pushed back to Dec. 4!

My hubby and I are flat broke and he doesn't get paid to the 30th, should I look for a job, but it still wouldn't do any good cuz everyone's on vacation...but what do you think?????????????????

Bear Stearns (BSC)
Quarterly Revene Growth 17.5%
Gross Margin 95.32%
EPS 13.182
P/E 11.85

BSC, in comparison to its competitors has the 2nd higher revenue growth, 2nd highert EPS and lowest P/E ratio. Bear continues to purchase companies in prime mortgages. They are still expanding in Europe at a decent clip.

What do you all think? Is it Under/Overvalued or perfectly priced??

I have had 2 interviews with 2 different companies ...one for a part-time evening job in a car sales place and the other for a full-time job paying $40-50,000 and each time they say "we will definitely call you in a day or two and they don't". I guess they think about things I say and hire someone else. Most of the jobs I have had in the past , I just get the job because they like me instantly . The formal questions in an interview are not real for me . I am applying for a good job this week as an Employment Counsellor for hard-to employ individuals and I myself think I am becoming "hard to employ".
Interviewers seem to follow formal questions and look for specific answers and I am becoming uncertain how my friend got a job within 6 weeks after being fired for being "insubordinate" and I am taking up to 3 months and still not certain what my next job will be. I am thinking I will work as a Salesgirl for Xmas to get some money and keep myself going while I figure out the answers to job
