people do not check your credit when you apply for a job, just when you try to finance something

It is getting harder and harder for individuals with bad credit to find jobs. Nearly everything nowadays has to do with your credit score. Car insurance, bank accounts, etc. If the job is through a financial institution or government related, you can bet that they will run a credit check.

Of course you can still find a job! Not all companies are that thorough when hiring someone. It just depends upon the position and who is hiring for it!

it depends in what industry you are going to work in. If you are going to work in sales then probably not but most of them just run a background check just to see if you have any criminal history.
