Anyone else really annoyed at housing situation today?

I am 24 years old and I recently was living in rented accomodation with a friend of mine paying £300 a month. I make an ok income but not a great amount but could in no way afford a mortgage which means lining someone elses pocket.

Even my sisters who are 32 and 36 had it better when mortgages were a lot cheaper and they could afford it when they were my age. Is anyone else annoyed at this or am I being petty?

What do you do when you are a few steps from being homeless?

My family and I our loosing our home of 14 years all because we tried to help someone out that had no where to go, and was homeless, and now because HUD calls her an unreported person, we have lost our housing assistance and I am unable to work because of my disablity, we have no where to go, we have tried appealing HUDS decision but got denied, and have tried several agencies but got turned away because of lack of funds. Now my landlord tells us she has filed eviction papers, so with not much time what do we do, looking for any helpful advice, even tried getting a loan but with no bank account and bad credit we are unable to get one.

What should i say?

My bf is living with me so that he can get back on his feet. He feels that our positions are the same in the home, like he is not a guest. I have a large basement, and an extra bedroom. He now wants to breed dogs, have a gym, and/or a recording studio in the basement, and he and/or his friends have inquired about renting the extra bedroom. I am not interested in any of the above, however i don't think that he understands that i have the final say as to what goes on here in this house. What should i say to make things explicitly clear that he does not make those types of decisions???

What would you do?

OK here's the situation. I have a full time job (working at night) I want another full time job during the day. The problem is I know what job I want and have applied for a position, but I need money NOW! So until I hear from this other job I could just go to a temp agency or I could just take whatever full time job. If I go to the temp agency and the other job calls, then I wouldn't feel bad about quitting (since its a temp job). But if I take the other full time job and the other job calls then I would feel bad about quitting. Of course this is all dependent on the position I want wanting me. So what would you do?
