OK here's the situation. I have a full time job (working at night) I want another full time job during the day. The problem is I know what job I want and have applied for a position, but I need money NOW! So until I hear from this other job I could just go to a temp agency or I could just take whatever full time job. If I go to the temp agency and the other job calls, then I wouldn't feel bad about quitting (since its a temp job). But if I take the other full time job and the other job calls then I would feel bad about quitting. Of course this is all dependent on the position I want wanting me. So what would you do?

Do what you have to do.

Don't feel bad about anything. Use your employers to get ahead where you want to go.

I used one of mine in the past, to save money to go overseas and then quit, even though i was in a contract.

In the end, they will end up using you anyway.

I think temping is a good idea for now. That will ensure you still have money to keep your life running. Do not take on the full time job (knowing its not what you want) and leave as fast as you took it, it will look bad on your track record - you don't want to look like a serial job hopper. Besides it leaves a bad impression with the employer. Also while temping try applying for a lot more jobs than just the one you really really think you want. Sometimes job ads are not that elaborate and you wouldn't want to miss out on the unexpected good ones. Good luck.

Yeah I'd take the first thing that comes through & see how it goes. I'm in the same position at the moment.

I would work for myself. BE YOUR OWN BOSS! Not an easy choice, but if you have what it takes, then , go for it!
