How does an increase in bond risk affect equilibrium bond price and quantity? Assume that investors are risk-averse.

I'm thinking demand would decrease, am I right? And does the Fisher effect come into play here? Would supply change also? If so, how (increase or decrease)?

Thanks a bunch!!

My home is a 1200sq ft, 3bd 2 bath, ¼ acre lot rambler. It is in really nice shape, and is in a neighborhood with lots of kids and pets which is about 30-40 mins away from the city.

If I had a renter for this house, they are likely to have kids and probably pets. My carpet is white/eggshell throughout and worried about pets destroying the carpet; I hear it is tough to find renters if I say no pets. To give you an idea of the backyard, I used to have a dog in the house and with the wet grass, rose gardens back there, I wiped its paws everytime it came into the house because I own the carpet.
If I rent it, I would be living 40mins away and don't want to hire an outside company to manage it. I don't know what to expect if I rent it out, I only hear of bad stories such as carpeting getting replaced, tore up, not paying rent, etc...

I have what I think is a great business idea. I've been researching it for over a year and I'm now working on specifics and writing a business plan. I'm a single mother of 2, ages 12 and 14 so they will only be at home a few more years. My credit absolutely sucks and we are sharing a house with my mom that is one gust of wind away from falling down. They are ashamed to have friends over and I don't blame them. I would like to give them a decent home/life again while they are still around to appreciate it, but if I go the conventional way by cleaning up my credit, etc. it will take years. By the time I accomplish anything, they will be off to college.

My question is this: Does anyone out there think I am crazy for hoping to find someone who will loan me $225,000 for a home, business and to pay off debts? The lender would keep the deed to the home and we could have a contract drawn up stating that if I didn't pay the loan off in a specified amount of time, the business would be theirs.

It's a really good business idea in a virtually untouched niche so I'm sure it will be successful. I've never wanted to do anything so much in my whole life. My kids deserve so much better and I'll do anything to make this work.

At work, I have a great job and I'm really getting into the groove of things. I have done more cleaning and streamlining in the last three weeks than she did in her two years here (like decluttering the kitchen, the copy room, the file room and reorganizing the office). HOWEVER, she comes in CONSTANTLY to see one of the guys here and I feel extremely threatened--even though I know she's moving in 2 weeks to Florida. I know that the owner wanted to hire her back, and my boss won in hiring me...but still! WHY oh WHY? I'm not normally a jealous person!

The variance in an asset's rate of return measures this asset's risk; the more volatile the return, the more difficult it is to predict.

All else being equal, when the variance of an asset's rate of return falls, the demand for an asset will:

A. Fall because this implies a decrease in expected return

B. Rise because this implies an increase in expected inflation

C. Fall when investors are risk-averse

D. Fall when investors are risk-neutral

E. Rise when investors are risk lovers

F. Rise when investors are risk-averse

I have about $9000 in debt. In the last year I had to make alot of my payments late because money was tight, so my credit rating plummeted. I have a lump sum of $16000 coming in a month & will pay off my balances. Which option will improve my credit score the best - 1) Pay them all off in one flailing swoop 2) Take 4-6 months to make payments consistently to pay them off+

Why do so many companies, selling make-up, manufactured in the U.K. and selling second hand motor cars in the U.K., use people with American accents, for their voice overs, during tv adverts.

Is the ordinary British, be it English, Welsh, Scottish or Irish accent not good enough?

I certainly don't think that an American accent, adds anything to an an ad.

What do you think?

Here's an example.... If somebody dies in 1978, and in 2003 somebody gets this person's SSN (you can do it through many websites. www.net-detective.com for example...) and uses it. Let's say this person applies for credit (credit cards, etc) and gets approved..... what happens with this SSN? Does it report to the credit bureaus? Can the cc companies know this is not the real person?

I always leave jobs, It gets boring,
I have to act like if I like it for a few months and then I get tired, so I leave.
I'm currently an administrative assistant and I'm really bored.
(I'm at yahoo answers instead of working)
I went to college and explored many interesting subjects, but in real life jobs aren't that amazing. You always have to sell something.
All I want is a real job that gives me satisfaction and pays the bills.
I've done a lot of research and I can't decide what's the best job for me. I'm good at traveling, really good.
but again, a real job wouldn't pay for just traveling.
